One thing I would say, is having seen the price for TF3 (which looks like it might be above my CPU pay grade), the TSW7 Deluxe pack pricing starts to look a little more reasonable. The full price of TF3 will be £45, so £40.50 for TF2 owners.

 

If this ICE1 is in the package does that mean it comes with announcements?

A bit disappointed to see not much new German stuff besides the new route and loco, the rest was announced already some time ago.

 

Not the first time a junction just like this appears in a German route. Hope this gets fixed before release.

Regarding to the Roadmap which has been shown a few minutes ago it arrives end of September as first TSW 7 DLC.

 

I don't think any of the hosts acknowledged it verbally, but there was a ti-i-iny image present.

Just caught up, I know the free starter pack means no excuse for not upgrading but does also seem a little annoying given it was just about to be released for TSW6

 

The whole take a ticket was massively disappointing for me! Where’s the Class 70 and the Richmond extension. I don’t think I’ll be picking any of those products announced sadly. Why isn’t BML being remastered?

 

Might mean they are releasing before TSW 7?

 

Zandvoort suggests it's via Haarlem rather than via Schiphol (which would fit with the worries about underground stations), but both would be nice.

 

Wow, I never thought there’d be so many great announcements. Finally, Nuremberg–Würzburg – I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but I’ve been hoping for this for years. The same goes for the ICE 4 and, above all, the Railjet. Thank you so, so much, TSG team I love you for this. And wow, Amsterdam that’s so cool. And a new country with Romania really cool. I think, all in all, this is my favourite year for TSW. Hopefully the improvements to live quality will make a difference this time. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

 

I wasn't expecting much, so pleasantly surprised. Some much requested new features like real time weather and safety systems able to be switched on as well as a AI conductor. Plus I thought I was dreaming when I saw NTP remaster. Birmingham to Shrewsbury as well, love to see Shrewsbury in the sim. All the core routes look interesting. I was sceptical about the UK route but it looks like a good network. Plus Cumbrian coast not far off it seems. Plus the new expert Railjet. It's good to see more new developers and another new country. Also was pleased to see a new Dutch route.

It said Birmingham to Shrewsbury unless I'm going mad. I haven't been drinking. They have already built Birmingham to Wolverhampton so I imagine they'll use that part.

 

bit underwhelmed tbh. amazed there's no south west, not even further down the line. the base UK and german routes will be decent but wasn't a huge amount in take a ticket that massively appealed to me aside from amsterdam and the brum-shrewsbury route. the new features are very meh...but the default safety systems a long overdue but welcome addition though

wasn't the portuguese route part of last year's take a ticket too?

funny how they mentioned the romanian route being a 'long term project'. what are we thinking...TSW9 or 10?

What happenend to redownloading everything every year and including certain waggons in the core? I thought these two things would be a topic for TSW 7. Nothing was mentioned in the direct about both of these.

 

The game barely runs on the consoles anyway, let us PC users have something for the extra money we spend on our builds.

 

Well overall impressed with whats coming but disappointed there is no signifigant improvement to the blurry texture issue.

I'm sure if there was they would have shouted it off the rooftops.

So I'll claim my copy of the free starter pack and leave it at that.

I'll keep my eyes on reviews roadmaps and stuff here and there but this is looking like my station maybe approaching and time to end this ride.

Or at least at the point where I'm grabbing my belongings and rising up from my seat.

So, after taking away route achievements last year now taking away route mastery this year but keeping the monthly buggy mastery. Very disappointing, every challenge bound to routes going away. Those were the things that made me start foreign routes I have no personal connection to

 

Damn, can I say the morning after, that I am kind of impressed by the number of PC specific improvements. DX12 by default and DLSS/FSR is not something I would have expected from DTG after all these years. And Steam cloud support for us on Steam so I don't have to copy paste my profile accross. Disappointed the new Freight Hauler thing seems to be something that needs to be added to a route since the new routes say explicitly they are compatible.

 

I dont us consoles users are gonna anything like that ever. And we are still gonna get bad performance

 

I have a RTX5080 since a week now and im so pleased that they have add DLAA... Much better then TAA... Before i had the Radeon 7900xtx and now on the right moment back to NVIDIA...

 

I tell you what I miss, and it's a shame DTG got rid of it. The loco menu from the first couple of TSWs, so you'd scroll across to the loco you want and on screen it would show it outside a shed, so you got a close up look at it, and if it had different liveries you pressed Square (on PS anyway) to see what it looked like.

I miss that.

 

Does all this new DLAA DLSS stuff work with the 4090s or is it just something the 50xx can deliver on?

 

Its working yeah no problem. The 4090 is a very decent card so no worries for that

 

I believe it will even work with my 4060.

 

Well I just slept on it and BOI am I excited! Freight Hauler mode! AI conductors! Adjustable FOVs! NTP REMASTER! Now I just need to figure out which features will work with the compatible collection...

As for the new Epic settings, the FAQ says that they recommend an RTX5070 at a minimum. No clue if that means it won't work on the 40-series or not but it might be worth putting out there.


Also, I found the Direct itself really well done. A couple of cringe moments, yes (but I think the presenters also figured that out when they started laughing), but I really enjoyed it.
