FrameGen is FSR only or it works based on DLSS too? Is there an option for Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation(automatic frame generation only at low FPS values)?
shame that the graphical lighting improvements won't be coming to console, I guess we can make do with what we've got. I know that only top level hardware will be able to run the epic settings, but a lighting overhaul across the board would have been nice
A question about the redownload of DLC for TSW7. I have TSW installed on a desktop and laptop. Leaving aside the core program and new DLC? Can you only redownload your existing DLC once and copy it over to the other computer? I dread these annual releases downloading gigs of data again. DTG: would it be technically possible to have an in-place upgrade? How about offering TSW7 with a new route of your choice, instead of three or nothing..
Are the graphical improvements basically the same as having edited your 'engine.ini' file in past TSW versions, or has the game code been re-written for forced DX12 use and specific GPU video optimisation settings?
Looking forward to the 331 and hoping (rather than expecting) to maybe one day see a modern version of Blackpool Branches with this running on it. No real interest for me in non UK routes so will probably just stick to the free version and by the new UK route, and 331, as an add-on.
On release day… What else would you expect? That’s September 15. The same goes for the regional editions of the game.
I've read articles and watched some of the DD stream. I don't see anything too remarkable or mega exciting about TSW7. Normally I purchase the new UK route as a standalone along with the free starter game. At the moment I'm not 100% sure I'll do that this time. The new UK route is another stopping service running more generic electric trains. I'm not that excited atm. Once again disappointed Newcastle is not in the game - its an iconic train location. The more interesting dlc's usually come from third part providers. I'm looking forward to the Cumbrian Coast from JT, the Atlantic Coast Route - Par to Newquay and the NTP Remaster + 37. Be nice to see Class 90 layered on more routes.
Curiously, you mention being disappointed by ‘another stopping service’ despite the last few UK routes being express themed, then go on to say you’re interested in 2 stopper themed routes?
You should take a look at this video: And also at this thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw-6-enhancement-lighting-graphic-ep-v6-1.84738/page-28, starting on page 28 with the post from jesper2805. No, this is much more than just the .ini file tweaks we had before. But no idea about DX12, I think we have to wait on more info from DTG.
Yes, very curious. Firstly, Im entitled to my opinions. Secondly CC and NTP will have diesels rather than generic electric trains. Have a nice day pal.
I asked for nose cameras to be installed, and you said the dev team said it should be straightforward, and that it was on their list. However, this was in April. I did not see it on any of the TSW7 discussions. Where it at?
I really think the branches to Nuremberg freight yard from Dutzendteich and Feucht should be included in the upcoming route to enable services going through the main station, which in fact takes place more often than one would expect, but also services to Feucht. It would, however, complete the freight yard Rangierbahnhof, with the entry tracks, which now are missing and only the exit tracks towrds Fuerth. To my knowledge there's also the old station Langwasser and Zollhaus. From the map showed in the roadmap it appeared the tracks were laid nearly to Frankenstadion, so why not complete the still existing part of the former Ringbahn and the Rangierbahnhof? I can provide some photos if needed. Kind regards.
copying .pak files has been discussed before, its generally frowned upon. You could theoretically copy TSW7 files from pc to laptop, BUT if you put the old TSW6 .pak into TSW7 you are likely to break your game and some people have mentioned profiles/saves becoming corrupt meaning your game is effectively RIP.
Hi, Usually for an Expert locomotive, first was launched the "normal" model, and then DTG - or other developer - , create the Expert model one. In the case of the of the Railjet train set announced, was directly an Expert model. As usually, I do not have much time to use the sim - except on the week ends only - , I wonder if it could be possible to release the "regular" - not expert - Railjet train set too?. Due to I like very much Railjet trains, I would like that chance too. May be others community members, could be interested on this extra option too. What do you think? Regards
You know when something is good but it could be better? I think Train Sim World is lacking Essex Appeal. That will be campaign slogan throughout the TSW7 era until our neighbours from Kent give us, the newly formed "Essex Train Sim World Route Liberation Front", what we want.
