No matter what I try, when I have the objective to release the handbrake (tried on the tutorial and the chemical chaos scenario), it just won't trigger the objective. The Locomotive is unusable for me in this state

I can't release it either, training centre or timetable/ scenario mode. Very frustrating, can't drive this loco !
The brakes won't release and stays stubbornly at just above 0. Tutorial okay, air comp on, flys passed 5 bar, but can't get it to shift on timetable. Anyone got an answer please? ta
I don't mean to sound petronising but have you played the tutorial there is a bit in about the brakes I think.
I've never been able to complete the tutorial myself (ps5), when I get to the release the handbrake part, the brake doesn't release.
Yep. I know DTG rarely fix minor bugs, but to not fix a game breaking one after 12 months is shocking.
I think I mentioned it. The tutorial is a pig but doable. Just trying timetable, it's partially prepared to go but you need to put the air compressor on and the centre gauge should move past 5, but it doesn't. Tried pulling everything stopping and restarting the engine but the gauge stays at 0.1. Had it for a year and hardly touched it. Now I know why.
Yeah, I flipped just about everything. Strangely enough it all worked after a while, after about half-a-dozen attempts. I have no idea why. It's an enjoyable engine and I've used it on a few routes now. The air compressor switch seems irrelevant most of the time, just not touching it. Had to use it once when coupled to wagons so maybe that's its function, but the tutorial is light engine. Thanks. It had me cursing, but it's okay
