They could've said Bergen-Main Lines or Bergen and Main Lines. Just like Morristown, we didn't get the Montclair-Bontoon Lines when they separate after Newark Broad St and rejoin at Denville. Yes MSU ends the electric service. So I'm not trusting them on this one either. And if they do add the Main Line, then GOOD...

Yea only cover that it's only out of Hoboken at the moment..bottom line, why only go on the Bergen Line instead of both of Bergen and Main Lines..and its 30 miles...Just like ECML. Don't know where that's ending for the London King Cross, although there were some screenshots that hinted was not to far from Peterborough...Yea there would be more stuff come probably in March of next year. .They not going to include the Main Line...I know it...And if they do prove me wrong by including the Main Line, then good, they proved me wrong on that part...But nope I have low hopes as usual lol.

Thinking of boycotting this route. Personally, I don't need a second Sherman Hill. It's like WCML_S without Lioness line.

Just so it’s clear, what is potentially missing is a portion of the main line between Secaucus and Ridgewood (16 miles,7 stations). The other half between Ridgewood and Suffern is included. Bergen county line joins the main line in Ridgewood.

Without the mainline being included you’re going to get a lot of random services that start are Ridgewood and End at Waldwick and vise Versa some it’s just somewhat critical to the route.
Honestly DTG can take extra time with this route it’s not like America routes release that often anyway so it you’re going to make an America route you might aswell make it a big Bang with good quality

No he wasn't 1st of he never said the word only.

He said it would include the Bergen line from Hoboken via Seacaucus to Suffren.

If you look at a map the main goes to Ridgewood also via Secaucus to Hoboken.

He never said the Mainline branch is off.

As I said before they probably don't know if it will be included yet but it is probably in the scope of what they want to do but if they run out of time it won't that will be the part they cut.

Just like Reisa to Dresden. And they don't want to tell us until they know after that debacle.

Remeber unlike 3rd parties DTG have strict time and financial budgets with their routes.

You just seem to be coming into this with glass half empty view. Which I can very well understand reasons why.

They’d have to update the Arrow 3 to work correctly on the 12.5 KV line for NEC. They have the switch available and active to be used, but on 12.5 it doesn’t work properly on the NEC line. I don’t know the actual process for them to switch it (I read somewhere it has to be done at the maintenance shop for the actual switch), but just having the switch toggle mean something/work properly would be a cool touch.

DTG is very clear with what they present for new routes. We have a tendency to read too much into it (or assume things and when they don’t play out how we want, give them backlash).

Point being if Main line was included, it would’ve been mentioned on the stream. If it wasn’t mentioned, that means it’s not going to be in. That’s why Matt specifically said Bergen line and it’s the only reference for the route.

Ohh Matt made it clear. It's only the Bergen line..30 miles, but yet Dresden gets the extension with the S-Bahn connection, and the extra branch still there from the previous version, and we can't even have both the Bergen and Main Lines?smfh. What else is new when it comes to US passenger service dlcs lol.

I think it makes sense to delay the DLC and complete both lines to complete route even more as we have other routes that have lines running somewhat parallel or in series withe the main route. Especially since they both go to Suffern and are close to each other.

Delay what? It already not coming this year and most likely the earliest would be February.

They did say for the take a ticket section it was the outlook for the next 12 months.

You can only delay if there is a set date.

Mixed feelings about this one :|. On One hand, I'm happy that my proposal would be a real thing... But on the other, I don't understand how the mainline can be excluded from the project, right DTG? Together, would just be 45mi(72km), less than Salzburg-Rosenheim :|. A solid, farsighted project would be included: the already modeled NJ urban zone (Meadowland/South Kearny and Croxton as "fresh new" area), the Meadowlands branch (MetLife Stadium, given the recent FIFA World Cup) and both variants up to Suffern (also lower Passaic Jn!?). 50mi(80km) total project length! All AI from Morristown, NEC etc. Plus NS/CSX freight services(driveable/AI)! And, as the mastery, the old Mahwak station caboose :).

If they have a set date, I think they should delay and re-evaluate the decision of not including the main line. It makes more sense to include the main line as well. Might as well since both lines are planned to end at Suffern. This is going to be a good route regardless but it will be even better and it makes more sense if the main line (7 stations between Secaucus and Ridegwood are included) rather than excluding them entirely

Hmph knowing DTG, they still gon exclude the Main Line lol...BUT maybe they might have a change of heart to add the main line section as well...Didn't the HRR have a split between Essen and what was that endpoint again...They even included the S-Bahn service in the Dresden dlc and all..

Yes the switch has to be done at a maintenance shop. In real life, NJT separates the Arrow 3s that operate the NEC (12.5Kv) from the Hoboken lines (25Kv) they rarely swap train sets between NEC and Hoboken lines to my knowledge.

Does anyone know what the deluxe loco for this route is (like an F40PH-2CAT or a PL42AC). Also I’m not from NYC or NJ, does NJT operate ALP46DP’s on the Bergen county line in diesel model?

this route hasn't not released yet and there's not deluxe loco as it only happens on core routes. as far as ALP46DP's I figured you meant the ALP45, yes, IRL they do operate the diesel only routes :)

I don't know the actual numbers, but it seems that ALP45s are most common these days, followed by PL42ACs, GP40s and the remaining CATS.

I doubt they are gonna add the PL42ACs since NJT is phasing them out rather rapidly. Unless they plan on having it set a few years earlier than the present.
