Yeah Munich-Augsburg desperately needs updates, but given the state of TSW’s performance, a route that struggled about five years ago isn’t likely to get one

I think it's too broken to be feasible tbh.

Munich-Stuttgart is probably too far (maybe for TSWNextGen), and there isn't another great midpoint choice. Augsburg-Rosenheim might work and would close another gap, but they don't tend to use major stations as midpoints.

I could see something like Munich-Ingolstadt coming as a TSW8 route though. In fact i think it's highly likely.

So happy to see TSG making another expert loco, i love the 101 and 145. 101 has got to be my most played German train in the game. Rosenheim to Salzburg is (in my opinion) the best German route, so for it to come to this will make it even better. Cannot wait!

Hopefully there are livery variants and a non Railjet expert OEBB 1116 with Eurofima coaches can also substitute the DTG 1116.

For sure they won't make a non expert version and also they didn't make Eurofima wagons. Its called "ÖBB Railjet Expert" so a Railjet full Expert only.

    They probably won't.

But to repaint the 1116 und make it able to substitute isn't that much work. Every freeware developer could do this in a day.

I think you did not have a fair view about gaming and you're wishes. They can do a lot but there is a budget limit so i should advise... Don't have such expectations.

    But you do. Thank god.

Of course there are budget limits, as always.

In other simulator games you don't have to beg for simple repaints. In TSW the users are strangely fine with one livery per dlc. It don't have to be this way.

Are you aware that to use a livery you need a license and that costs money..... Liveries are not free to use when you sell it in a product where you asking money for. Also there are other companies involved they want money also, a livery is a advertisement and under copyright.

Because this is an "expert" that mean they want low sales, as it is restricted to "elite" users only

You can turn the expert mode off and just drive it if you want so no its not restricted to "elite" users as you say.

Railjet is ÖBB though so it’s not a different company to get a licence off. Just Trains have really shown the way with livery variants, but there are generally far too few in TSW.

I’m not expecting or demanding another livery with this addon, but I do think we should expect more livery variation in general.

My ultimate train, more than the VIRM that has been announced for the new Dutch route, would be the ÖBB Nightjet. I'm not sure what all routes might be relevant for layers, but it could make appearances all across Europe.

He was demandng on an extra skin but other skins then the öbb one are advertisements so you need a licence for it. The öbb it self has öbb red with the white logo.

    Eh nope.
I was hoping to get the normal ÖBB livery as it's the most common one. To use it in front of Eurofima and freight.
Other liveries are just nice to have.

I don't like different implementations of the same loco. So if the Expert 1116 is the best, let us use this one everywhere instead of DTG Dispolok or the previous DTG ÖBB 1116.

Ah okay i think they will add that as well the game has already the OBB livery for the DTG 1116. Better is to wait.

There will be the standard "ÖBB" Livery included to use the 1116 for freight or IC as well.
Problem with included liveries is that those will take ram when the dlc is mounted, even if the livery is not used, so we carefully have to decide what to include and what not. Dont want even more problems on consoles.

Often you see regular locos on Railjets and Railjet locos on other trains, will this be represented? Not that often but it would be nice as an occasional thing bonus.

Very very unlikely as you need a license fromt the European Broadcast Union (EBU), and all those sponsors you see on the side.

What's about the other Railjets. Like the Flaggenrailjet (175 years of railway in austria), Klimajet, Ski austria, 100 Jahre ÖBB. Are they possible or do they need to many sponsors etc on your side?

Okay yeah this one maybe but would you look after if a special livery would be possible? It would made the DLC even better. But if not, I'll understand you. Then it would be what it is

So at least we get the Standard OBB livery (maybe weathered) and the Railjet livery. I wouldnt expect anything less but anything more either, one time event liveries are a nightmare for historical accuracy.

I was talking about all DLCs, not only the Expert ones.
I have to admit, the expert ones are shining on this topic when they provide two (or more?).
Which isn't also extraordinary much but better than just one from most other DLC.

On a side note the system seems broken when a developer has to decide between mediocre performance or more liveries.

and finally with prototypical stuff :) first thing I am going to test is if the LZB/AFB to PZB/AFB transition is done properly :)

hell to the yeah :) ... I mean, this announcement was probably the best bit out of the whole stream :D ... of course, I am looking forward to TSW7 core and deluxe content, new routes along the way and new Dutch route, but this one is the most anticipated for me :) ... the only better thing for me would be a properly done Desiro ML :D ... with a Wien to somewhere route :D

In the TSW 7 Nurnberg-Wurzburg stream it was slightly comical about the initial confusion of whether the ICE 4 actually goes to Austria (it does!).

So, please a reminder to TSG to not forget the ICE 4 for the new Railjet Salzburg-Rosenheim timetable, thank you!

If they do a tt before the Koralmbahn opened so before 2025, I don't think the was an ICE on this route. Mostly ÖBB EC. They prob. will to a tt in 2018 or so to include the 101 Expert, even though a 2026 tt would be cool, as I think there are more long distance trains. At least every hour to munich

That's true. However, only thing is the timeframe of the Vorarlberg route in TSW, which is before the opening of Lindau-Reutin station etc. So, if anything, from this period would an ICE-T be better represented? To be honest, I don't mind if it's not completely accurate as I'd prefer the ICE 4.

On Salzburg Rosenheim you see only ICE4 with 7 coaches so it's not realistic to add the 12 part trains. And the problem is the length they can not fit at Traunstein with 12 coaches.

The question is do this longer ICEs fit at the in between stations.... On Salzburg Rosenheim its not possible Traunstein is to short to fit 12 coaches

Obviously, of course. However, I guess it comes down to the usual debate of it being included, or not at all. In my opinion, I'd like to have it included as what's the chance a 7-car variant would ever come. But, appreciate everyone is different regarding opinion.

You're right actually - in fact it would't be an ICE-T at all, as the lines beyond Lindau into Germany weren't electrified then. It would be Taurus with OEBB coaches, replaced with 2x 218 at Lindau.

This is also a good point - the ICE4s replaced IC sets (101+8+cab car), so it would be better to keep those alive and keep it era-appropriate.

I’m sure the vast majority of people (including those who are fans of realism) couldn’t care less if we saw a 13 car ICE instead of 7.

If we stooped to that level of pedantry, we’d have a lot less traffic on pretty much every route in TSW.

The basic FV pattern on Rosenhein-Salzburg was:
    • 0.5tph Railjet non-stop from Munich, which doesn't stop at Rosenheim but presumably that stop will be faked.
    • 0.5tph EC from Munich, some DB, some OEBB stock, stopping at all major towns. The DB ones have been replaced with either Austrian stock or ICE4s since the almost complete withdrawal of IC1 by DB.
    • 1tph Railjet from Innsbruck, which joins at the curve east of Innsbruck. Often these join the Munich Railjets at Salzburg. These don't stop in Germany, and no fake stop can be added as their not stopping in Germany is key to their operation - they are Austrian trains that run through Germany as a "corridor", as it's quicker.
    • 0.5tph EC as AI at Rosenheim, immediately turning off at the east of the station. These were Austrian stock, and have been replaced by Railjets, albeit a different generation to what's coming in TSW

Do you read my point above? It's not only the length of the train... It does not fit due to the length at some stations... Traunstein is to short to fit a 12 car ICE4 on the platform. It's far more then only the amount of coaches

I think that;s generally true, but in this case a DB IC train would make more sense, as that's what they replaced. If it was a too-long train or nothing I'd be fine, but this is a better alternative.
