Firefly when will we see the AI 377/3 at tonbridge and 375/9 implemented on MVL? Would be much better to see southern at tonbridge as per real life. Also on console there’s still a small issue on the GSMR where at the end of the signal number the last number is stretched.
The 377/3 is down to Rivet to sort, so you would have to ask them. We've submitted the ticket, so it's in their hands, and has been for a few months now.
As a PS5 player I thought I'd chip in and say I sincerely appreciate you holding back the updates until they can be released in the right state for the game. But from the updates I've seen they are fairly substantial to a route that was already a 10/10 for me anyway! Look forward to receiving the update when it happens, and I hope DTG can follow on with holding stuff back until it is ready to be released for consoles.
Thank you for the list but in answer to “Issue with a duplicate collectible ID fixed allowing 100/100 collectibles to be attained” This is not the case as the one at Tonbridge West Yard is still not collectable! Only 99/100 are attainable.
I just wanted to say thank you to the developers of this fantastic route, had blast this morning driving this route with smooth performance on my 6.5 year old system, (i5 9600k and RTX 2080). It's my local area and the detail in this route is amazing! I also appreciate the detailed patch notes you provided for the update. Other Devs should definitely follow your lead on this one. Well done all round, look forward to see what you come up with next .
has anyone found an optimal weather setup to see a rainbow? i’ve done 4 services with varying amounts of rain, and 1 with dynamic weather (clear skies to start with, ended the service with a thunderstorm. of course i did), but am yet to see one
Well.. on Friday a 465/9 on the valley become canon again. Did one trip before being taken back off as the 4 car markers have been moved since their regular use in 2011/12.
A few months later and still loving this route, made even better with the PBC Pro. In the real world a 375/9 is making an rare appearance on the route today.
Basically, as it stands no update can be made to the PS5 version without breaking the audio, which is clearly an unacceptable state of affairs. You’ll have to believe me that it’s frustrating us more than anyone because at this point not only are PS5 players not getting the experience we want, but it’s also now preventing us from updating the route for PC and XBOX as well. Work continues to try and figure out why the PS5 is refusing to behave and rectify the problem, but until that issue is fixed we can’t update it. Sorry it’s not better news but rest assured we haven’t forgotten about it and as soon as it’s feasible to get it updated then we will.
Thanks for the update and while I know the team is working a resolution, it does frustrate me as it's yet another situation that console players don't get the same experience as the PC master race.
To be fair, in this instance the issue is with the PS5 and everything is fine on XBOX. This is PlayStation specific problem that is proving exceptionally difficult to track down (read anything and everything we’ve tried hasn’t worked). The fact that you have working audio at all is pure chance to be honest which obviously makes no sense at all, but it’s where we are. We will continue working on it, and should have a fresh set of eyes once TSW7 releases.

very encouraging to hear this from a third party, what i’ve found from the last year or two of tsw releases is that you can learn more about a developer/studio from their approach to fixes and updates, than you can from the dlc itself
Honesty goes a long way in this game... Frustrating? Yes. But when a developer offers an insight and respect to their customers you can't do wrong by me... I'll be honest with you though, the route on PS5 holds up so well without the update I have no room to complain. It's in my top three routes and probably sits at number 1 in that list even without the updates! Things come to those who wait, and I know you'll manage to remedy the situation even if it takes time. We are rooting for you as developers regardless.
What is the issue affecting PS5/PS5 Pro players on this route? Was thinking of buying it, but this has made me think twice.
The route is technically not the current version if you look at pc and xbox versions of medway Valley playstation doesn't have dispatcher mode at Tonbridge and rainbows (not class 395 one) and offer fixes. On those nothing from dovetail or firefly. The ambassadors can't get answers eater, Hentis and British Ace play on playstation think tin tin does as well. I asked Paul former Trainsimulaterdriver now goTransit he didn't know that playstation was missing the update and tried to get answers but nothing has come back from that.
Actually, Firefly did explain why. If they update the route on PS5, it'd bring back the broken audio bug.
I’ve literally given a full explanation further up this thread. Regarding ambassadors, if anyone has actually attempted to get answers I can say with 100% certainty they haven’t attempted to get them from us. The route on PS5 is currently as it was following the initial PS5 only post release patch. It is still a fantastic route and more than playable as it is. I’ll say that when we updated the PS5 with the patch (without touching the audio at all) it stopped working again. UE4 is a multi platform engine and there is no logical reason for it, if it works on PC and XBOX then it should work on PS5. The fact that it doesn’t is inexplicable, we’ve even tried the most basic possible implementation of train audio on PS5 and it still doesn’t work. We won’t stop with it until it’s solved and a fix is released, but something odd is going on and the simple fact is we can’t update the route and break the audio.
Firefly (via Jetwash) have replied explaining the problem several times, see posts 1565 and 1567. Basically if they update the route for PS5 it will bring back the broken audio bug, it's the lesser of two evils to not update it until they figure out what is causing it - which they've also explained their efforts to figure that out to no avail (basically, the audio breaks and there is no known reason why it is doing it).
Can’t fault this route nor fault Firefly at all. An update doesn’t feel imminently needed as the route is very stable thankfully. I guess at some point the trigger will need to be pulled and updates given. Maybe even if it’s a case of stripping the 375 back and starting from scratch which is not ideal
I still not bought this route yet but it look great and it better with trainsimcz merge with Southeastern High Speed with up coming Sheerness line and do hope they Chatham or Southeastern Mainline
As far as I’ve seen, the /7 seems to literally be a /6 (interior and exterior wise)- just without a Pantograph. The /8’s exterior is the same as the /9, but the interior features 2+2 seating..
The 375/7 is the equivalent of a 4 car 375/3 (they were ordered at the same time) additionally the interior seating layout on a 375/7 is slightly different to that of a 375/6 from memory.
The Sheerness extension is something I am really looking forward to, hopefully it’s release is imminent.
there’s no screenshots yet so i’m expecting we could be waiting until christmastime, which is fine by me. medway showed that a smaller project means an incredible amount of detail can be put into it, so a bit of a wait can’t be a bad thing where firefly are concerned. i imagine there’s a lot going into the 466 as well. having said that, things can change quickly and we might only be waiting until october. either way, it’ll be worth every penny
