Title says it all. this takes ages, as if i'm downloading everything. ping DTG-Chris this is on steam
It's likely you are downloading your entire back catalogue of DLC. Deluxe is 30 GB, and Ultimate is around 60 GB. Unticking DLCs you won't play today will make your download size much smaller.
Thanks for the swift response DTG-Chris . I didn't think those would be available already on early access. Anyway, a lot of clicking off now
I've got the delux only and in Steam its 149.3GB and only says its downloading 1 file, not DLC's I didn't get ultimate as had all the DLC's anyhow Anyhow not changing it if there are separate DLC as now have only half hour to wait
Just a mere 344.6GB for me today :/ Should be ready to play at 04:06 tomorrow morning Gotta admit that this annual farce of re-downloading DLC needs to stop, add to it the whole "play it five days early unless you are on PC in which case it only releases for download in the evening so you'll only be able to play it 4 days early" is a bit much too... Luckily for me I uninstalled all of my non-UK DLC a few weeks ago otherwise I'd probably be waiting well into next week for it to finish downloading. Though I didn't see any checkboxes for this one to say only install the selected :/
Don't think I'll be touching it to be honest. As much as everyone been screaming for it I think they will be kicking off starting all over again and finding its too expensive with Shark Cards and such to get up to where they were with GTA5 Other reason I won't be touching it is I'm now not on console and my son told me its basically impossible to play on PC with Mods and such + I'm too old now and I should have stopped at GTA 4 LOL
Technically its still 5 days as when released fully on the on the 15th its still a 6pm *UK TIME download
To quote the head bureaucrat from Futurama, "that is technically correct, the best kind of correct". Spinning back to GTA 6, I'm all for it however the PC version won't be out for another year so I'll have to wait as I'm not going to buy a console just for that when the PC version when it does arrive will be miles better. It's annoying though having had every other GTA since launch (well except 1 & 2 which I picked up a few months after release).
I'm not too sure what was going on yesterday, I think it peaked at around 107mbps, but was largely hovering around 80-85 as of course once the wife came home she starts streaming to the TV (not helped by the evening release time). The internet & TV package is in her name so I can't do much about it but I think I'll get her to call them and find out what is going on as we are paying for better than that, it's Beardy Media of course...
