Did you try manually copying and pasting your API key located in Documents/MyGames/TrainSimWorld7/Saved/Config? I had to do that last night but I set it back to automatic and it's working fine for me
I would double check the -HTTPAPI, also in app check the app is eaither on automatic key detection, or that the key you entered is correct. The key will be different in TSW 7 than is in TSW 6.
thanks for that its all working now. Both versions (TSW 6 and TSW 7) now seem to be working. Does this mean that I am running 2 separate versions of the mod and will both automatically update?
Nope. It is a standalone app, which communicates with TSW via the API DTG is providing. So it doesn't have to be installed as a mod. As there is no difference in the API betweeen TSW 6 and 7, a single app can easily support both TSW version.
I only have an API Key file in the Train Sim World 6 folder. Can I just copy it over or do I need to get a new one somewhere? Or enter my personal number that I also use for Train Sim Classic?
TSW7 has it's own api key. It should be in the same location as the tsw6 folder but tsw7 instead. Make sure u add the launch option -httpapi
Anyone else having problems with it not working? Only the location is displayed, not the weather info annotations. Its also not applying historic weather. Edit: Double checked if the -HTTPAPI is there, it is. Restarted my PC, still not working. Servers down perhaps?
Hey Winzarten. I have, that´s not the issue. I don´t have an API code in TSW 7. I can only find one in the TSW 6 folder.
toms87 if you put in the -httpapi there should be a in that folder after you ran tsw7 maybe a type or if you use more parameters forgot a space in between? and no need for caps i use -httpapi
It started working again about an hour ago. The time was a few minutes of, other than that it working fine again.
Open-meteo had some hiccup with its historic api. Even the web version didn't work. It has to be something with the parameter. If the file is not there, then TSW is not running its API.
