Hi everyone, I saw on the Train Sim World 7 FAQ page that it says: “No, Train Sim World 7 will not be playable via GeForce Now at launch, but we are exploring the possibility of adding this option sometime after launch.” Asking cautiously, are we talking weeks or months until TSW7 comes to GeForce NOW?
I watched the livestream and was excited to see the Airedale/Wharfedale line, the Florida content, and the NTP remaster. Also noted AI content at Keighley, which may well mean steam locos puffing away there as you pass through. Steam Cloud support is also something I've been hoping for. But I was gutted to see that the FAQ notes that TSW7 won't be on GeForce Now at launch, so I'll be unable to enjoy any of this! Please, Dovetail, don't leave those of us who buy your content to stream via GFN waiting for too long. I realise it must take work to set things up and maintain them there, but it's a wonderful platform for the game (and many of us don't have hardware capable of running it in reasonable quality otherwise).
Hey folks, I have asked for clarification on this, but my personal guesstimate would be a few months for the wait. I don't know if that is correct; I am just setting expectations based on the timing it took for TSW6.
hi im also very dissappointed with dovetail regarding lack of geforce now support for tsw7. i moved away from xbox due to blurred texture after spending 0ver £1000 on DLC and reinvested in same content on the geforce now platform Pre-ordered tsw 7 delux only to find out dovetail havent considered our investment worthy of support. Do dovetail not have the same loyalty as their customers have with dovetail. #icant even switch platforms as the games have to repurchased again I love my train sim world games but #i cant keep swapping and changing between platforms its just too costly Anything you can do to cheer me up would be helpful Kind regards
Yes, this is so disappointing, as it is such a great platform to play Train Sim on. TSW 6 was available at launch if I remember correctly, so not holding out much hope it will be added. Can Dovetail provide any rationale for not adding it to GeForce Now? Does it not have the player base?
A shame really, means I'm going to have to lug my desktop to my TV when I dont want to sit at my desk playing in the meantime. but it's by no means the end of the world to do until I can play via Geforce Now
Unfortunately my desktop can barely run TSW (it's a lovely fanless PC running Linux Mint, but as being silent is its key feature, it only has onboard graphics). It runs GeForce Now beautifully on the Ultimate sub, though. Good to see Candace's comment above, though. Fingers crossed!
That is a positive sign! The article seems to imply it’ll be available from release, hopefully we can get some official confirmation of this. https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-september-2026-games-list/
Agree, a really positive sign and follows last year announcement too https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-oct-2025/? where it was announced a week or two before
Yay! Sometimes we are sent full updates, but I have been out, for a US Holiday. I just know TSW6 took a little time to fully integrated, so I wanted to set that expectation. But yeah, looks like all the hiccups are out of the way and everyone will get it on release!
I'm fed up of the console issues and would happily switch to GFN. But the Xbox PC version hasn't been made available on GFN & I'm not willing to repurchase the game & all my DLCs in Steam.
Could you please clarify what you mean by “on release”? Do you mean Advanced Access on September 10, or the full release on September 15? NVIDIA’s GFN Thursday post specifically lists Train Sim World 7 – Advanced Access, but two days later the game is still unavailable on GeForce NOW. I bought the Deluxe Edition specifically for Advanced Access, so will it become available before the full release?
I'd actually missed that on Thursday, it wasn't in their reddit version of the post, but you're right, it's there on the web version: Still, it wouldn't be the first time that GFN has announced something with the release date, and it's taken a while to actually get it onboarded. Like you, I have Deluxe Edition and have been eagerly clicking GeForce Now in hope. Not the end of the world if we don't get it before next week, but it would be nice.
I am so sorry I was out for the weekend, my understanding is on GEForce now it will unlock on the 15th, but if anyone sees anything different let me know.
I've been testing TSW6 with the free version of GeForce NOW, but I was having stuttering issues due to the shader cache. Does the paid version have the same problem?
The paid version freezes very briefly every now and then on GFN Ultimate while you drive, which I've seen attributed to the shader cache issue. I've got used to it, so it doesn't really bother me, but it may bother you! However, since my alternative is having TSW running like dripping molasses on my desktop machine, GFN's benefits vastly outweigh that negative. The graphics look fabulous, and apart from that occasional stutter, it runs very smoothly on the routes I enjoy.
To be absolutely clear, Nvidia have yet to confirm the go live date for GeForce Now. Therefore, the statement on the FAQ remains true. On Nvidia's own blog, they also include a disclaimer under the listed dates: "Dates listed above reflect when games are released on their respective stores. GeForce NOW availability may vary, as games are onboarded after release and added throughout the week. Keep an eye on GeForce NOW channels and GFN Thursdays for availability updates on announced titles"
