I’d bet the 2 units were made by different people in different buildings. The 333 seems way more well rounded, even if you disregard sound accuracy. The 331 looks and sounds like it’s floating above the rails, and they definitely used M7 sounds on it.

I don’t think the 331 sounds bad between 0-15/20MPH). The traction motor whine that changes in pitch is there but anything after 20MPH just sounds a bit meh.

the 331 also has the same running sounds as the 390 which I find lazy, there’s no sense of speed to the sound, just sounds like metal on metal.

    Divine Diversion Scenario. PS5.

When you swap ends at Guiseley, you can't take power. Test your scenarios. Any human would have discovered this.

Stop pretending like you have a rigorous QA department. It just does not exist. We're the QA testers.

*Edit. Got it moving after resetting physics. I followed the instructions (even the one where it said turn headlights to day and marker when it meant off) and had no traction

Found another timetable bug with the freight 6E59 - part 2 that blocks the other train 2V27 from Ilkley to leeds class 333 from passing the freight train as that train sits in the Kirkstall up passenger loop until (12:46) on ps5. At around (12:30).
-Note just had to remove them 2 services just to get things moving again... but all the other services just stop there like something is bugged out. i feel like the people who have brought the early access before the official release date. We intensually become the beta testers just to find these bugs and report it..

5V35 - heading towards Neville hill and into Neville hill depot itself, I came upon these these black floating lines clipping through everything, kinda creeped me out at first not going to lie!

its a lot worse in the depot when you have to wait for the 14:49 part 2 service, literally everywhere. Not sure if it’s shadows that have become solid or hoses.

Updated feedback regarding 331: Xbox PC

GSMR - the brightness buttons are scripted the wrong way round and the text is wrong. The “increase brightness” button decreases the brightness where the “decrease” button increases it…

headlights - after mentioning them yesterday, can confirm they definitely look yellow than the white they should be. Will need a look at!

Blue “N” circles along the body - the blue is definitely the wrong shade and a bit bright, should be a little darker, google has many photos.

regarding colours/livery on exterior, I do think the livery should be a little more glossy. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Service 1A13 Skipton to London Kings Cross.
I stopped at a red signal on the downside of Bingley; 2H11 was unable to depart Bingley due to "Stop Off Path."
I had to remove the train to continue my service going towards Leeds.

    Xbox PC and XSX

    Class 331 & 333

SOUNDS - I noticed earlier on that the track joint sounds (bogies going over points or jointed tracks) are the same on both trains and that it is also the same sound set from the 390 which is Ashame. really think some of the sounds could have done better, especially considering these are new trains in the game.

I have not heard these trains at speed through watching videos or being on them but I can definitely tell not much effort has been put into them.

for context, I think the running bogie sounds on Firefly’s 375’s are the best running sounds in the game, you are able to hear the rail and the wheels kind of sing along the rails and going over points or jointed track, really here the clunkiness of the bogies going over those sections.

if a recording trip wasn’t available for running sounds for these 2 trains, I do think working with FireFly to port their running sounds over to these 2 trains could work, it’ll give the train some life. Obviously, make sure it’s purely running rail sound and not traction motor sounds.

I remember when glossop line came out in TSW 4 I believe, that when you put a custom livery on the 323, this exact issue would happen, the wheels disappeared! I sent multiple tickets and after a very long time, I believe it got fixed if I’m not mistaken.

Neither 331 or 333 seem to have the usual keybind for Hill Start/Brake Hold.

I believe this has already been reported.

    - 331 and 333 : sometimes, loss of braking power.
    - 331 : sometimes it's the opposite, braking that is far too powerful. 5% to 8% of braking is enough for stop correctly, completely unrealistic.
    - 331 in multiple unit 6 cars (2x3cars) : Service Skipton-Leeds, we stop at stations where the platform is not long enough for the entire train, like Cononley for example. It's quite strange.

This is normal IRL. The train will use ASDO (Automatic Selective Door Operation) to not open any doors that are not against the platform.

Really ? That means a passenger stopping at a small station has to plan to sit in the front part of the train when boarding. I find that so strange.

Lines such as this will primarily be locals who know anyway, but there are multiple announcements & displays to notify you.

The ones that get people more often are when trains split & the 2 parts go to different places.

In either case both things aren’t uncommon in the UK.

Okay, so another report from me when everything is normal.

It's much simpler in the south of France, long trains don't stop at stations where the platform is too short. So if I ever travel to the UK, I should be careful. :)

I can't seem to finish any service with the 331 or the 333. At the final stop it tells me to to open the doors, then close them immediately, but the service doesn't end. I've checked and the doors are all locked, I have tried this with both the automatic guard turned on and off.

Some routes are designed so that the services won’t end until it hits the time it’s meant to. If you get to your last stop 3 minutes early, you’d still need to wait the 3 minutes.

This is usually what happens when the service wont end.

Yep this is the case on this route. Frustratingly inconsistent as most routes let you end timetable runs as soon as the passenger load timeout expires after opening doors at the final stop.

Heading east between Leeds and Neville Hill there's a sign for 45 but no corresponding increase in permitted speed.

Announcement wise, Northern cant give out the license for the announcements. And to be fair, the 333 announcements are different ones to the 331s. And I do agree that the 331 needs better sounds, a patch for that should be soon.

Issue 1. Crossflatts is spelt wrong when driving, should say Crossflatts not Crossflats.
Issue 2. With the 333, it seems to be that the guard cannot open the local door therefore meaning the infinate long door beep until you get up and do the guards for them.
Issue 3. Guard doesnt buzz me on the 331.

I encountered a pretty serious signalling issue while driving a service from Bradford Forster square to Skipton. The signal in question is L3976 which is placed just before Shipley when coming from Bradford Forster square.

When you drive a service form Bradford to Skipton, you take the diverging route to the left just before the platform at Shipley. These points are protected by L3976. When taking the diverging route towards Skipton, L3976 displays clear without a feather indicator. At the very least its feather should be lit for the diverging route. I also think it should be approach controlled since the track speed is 50 mph while the speed through the diverging junction is 20 mph, but I'm not sure about that. I hope this signal can be fixed at some point.

The day/night cycle is again very off. Why is it pitch black at 7pm in September?

There is a huge fps loss in the middle of the triangle of the Shipley station, and Leeds also suffers from WAY lower fps. I dont know whether it is a memory leak or what, but it is pretty painful.

With Leeds at least this will be down to light baking, same goes for most large stations or built up areas on other routes. No easy fix for that unfortunately other than just generally optimising the game as a whole. The Shipley frame drop is a bit more strange though, I can't say I've experienced that one myself.

The person who placed the collcectible should be punched with the collectible, because you cant collect them ;) (found in Leeds and Illkley)

Subject: Conductor Mode is mechanically broken on Coupled Class 331 formations (Airedale Line)Body:Just ran a Skipton to Leeds service using a coupled Class 331 consist in Conductor Mode. There is a glaring, game-breaking design oversight with this setup:The Problem: The Class 331 units do not have inner/end-of-train gangways. When two units are coupled together, they are completely isolated from each other. The Flaw: Conductor Mode calculates the ticket check requirement based on the entire train's passenger count. However, it is physically impossible to walk between the two units to reach the other half of the passengers. The Result: You are permanently trapped in a 3 or 4-car bubble. Your final score is completely tanked through no fault of your own because half the train is entirely inaccessible.Did anyone actually play-test a multiple-unit 331 formation before launching TSW7 Early Access? This is a core gameplay feature that is mathematically impossible to complete on a flagship launch route. Please flag this as a priority known issue for the September 15th patch. The game engine needs to restrict the target ticket count to the specific physical unit the conductor starts in as a result on Skipton to Leeds service I finished -3,300 points because of this oversight and because you can't check tickets till train doors closed you can't get out train and walk down platforms into carriage before train moves off surely dovetail knew about this ?

Which platforrm are you on? PS5 pro performance is fairly average with the same kind of slowdown/stutters you describe. Hoping that the day 1 patch has some optimisations.
