Train Sim World 7 - Discussion

This can’t be a bug, surely there’s something wrong here? I’ve not noticed anybody else reporting this so I’m starting to wonder if my GPU is bust. It’s strange that it isn’t happening in other games though, least of all TSW6 which I’m yet to uninstall.

I’m running the same hardware and settings as I did in TSW 6, a Radeon 6700XT with the latest driver.

 

That looks like a problem with the light baking at Leeds to be honest

 

Do you have any mods or ini settings copied over from over TSW6 as well? Have you tried it without those if so.

 

I caved in today due to all the positive praise for the new graphics and the UK/German content. OldVern style, I’ve triaged everything except the TSW 7 stuff for a 90-minute download.
I can’t download all my DLC while having TSC and TSW 6 installed at the same time. So once TSW 7 is ready, I’ll import my profile, get rid of TSW 6 and then start downloading some of my DLC over the next couple of nights while I’m sleeping. Downloads are pretty slow over here.

So, I’d like to talk about mods. When moving from TSW 5 to 6, I just copied most of them over, but I’m thinking of making a fresh start with TSW 7 because some of my mods have become obsolete now.
Two that definitely seem redundant are JetWash’s INI settings and Better Rain. I’m guessing God Mode might also be less important with the new graphics options and FOV slider?
What’s still essential? What actually needs updating for TSW 7? I’m tempted to start completely clean this time and only add mods back as updated TSW 7 versions become available.
