Yes. It was not possible to turn on AFB because it was impossible to press the button to turn it on in the touchscreen. This was playing in a Xbox.
No idea. Game crashed shortly after and after that he played the UK route. Then I stopped watching to have supper.
From the timetable deepdive "Compatible passenger layers include: DB BR 403 ICE 3 from Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg - Ingolstadt, operating an additional 33 Nürnberg - Würzburg services DB BR 411 ICE-T from Frankfurt - Fulda, also operating Nürnberg - Würzburg services with a further 16 end-to-end runs DB BR 103 with InterCity coaches, appearing on a railtour between Würzburg and Nürnberg ÖBB BR 1116 and coaches, adding Nightjet services DB BR 642, adding playable regional services between Siegelsdorf, Fürth and Nürnberg Additional BR 111, BR 101, BR 612 and n-Wagen AI traffic at Nürnberg and Würzburg Freight layers add further local variety, including: DB BR 218 with Uacns wagons on local workings at Iphofen DB BR 294 on local services around Fürth Additional Eanos wagons A number of additional locomotives and vehicles can also be spotted as static stock around the railway, including the BR 363, BR 103, BR 218 and Mint n-Wagen." Nürnberg-Ingolstadt Frankfurt-Fulda Linke Rheinstrecke Semmeringbahn Niddertalbahn 111 (don't know which version probably Stuttgart) 101 (original) Tharanter Rampe 218 294 363 + substitutions (e.g. 185, Railpool 193, etc...)
So what do you actually need for all the layers? Why can’t they just have an option on steam to show and allow you to purchase to complete?
I heard they updated the layers selection screen so you can do that, but need to wait until release so I can confirm it.
Hi, yesterday I got the TSW 7, as I reserved in advance. I run the sim, on PS5, and I do not have any issues about it. I mean everything run smooth, - even 4K was selected -, and also I drove the ICE 4, whitout any problem. I drove trains on the UK and German routes, but not yet in the USA one. I also have rain, and clouds. Hope this information be useful, as previously there were comments about this new simulator will have problems for console. Regards. Daniel
PC/Steam Version I played 10 runs on the Nuremberg–Fürth S1 line, but the stuttering is terrible. It makes no difference whether I set the graphics to low or high. How is it for everyone else?
Don't worry, it'll come once the additional traffic layers can be installed, definitely as part of the German map.
PS5 Pro I try the "Freight Hauler" mode ... as I understand it, passenger trains run in this mode, likely following the standard timetable, but freight trains aren't operating. Presumably to avoid potential collisions during shunting maneuvers and the like. One thing I didn't quite grasp was the option to start in Würzburg, for instance, given that parked wagons only appeared for me at Nürnberg Rbf and Fürth Gbf, no matter how many times I tried, wagons simply didn't show up on the map anywhere else. So, I took a parked Vectron and drove it solo from Würzburg to Fürth, a nice relaxing hour-long trip. I also discovered something else, while shunting at Nürnberg Rbf, a message suddenly popped up saying I’d left the playable area (or something similar). I was instantly ejected from the locomotive to the entry point at Nürnberg Rbf, effectively ending the session, as the consist I’d been kicked out of then started moving on its own and ran a stop signal. It’s certainly an interesting idea, but it’s the sort of thing best suited for long winter evenings; if the game hadn't kicked me out of the locomotive, I might not have felt like I’d wasted two hours and I might have even finished the run after another couple of hours, since I still had to deliver wagons from Furth to Würzburg. As it happened, it booted me out in the middle section (the switch area) of the Nuremberg marshalling yard (Nürnberg Rbf) while I was trying I think to get onto track 317... oh well, nothing to be done about it.
Hello, When I select a timetable service starting in Würzburg in Timetable Mode, TSW loads normally at first, but then crashes after a while without an error message. The same thing happens in Free Roam. However, if I start in Nuremberg, strangely enough, TSW doesn't crash. Even if I spawn at a location before Würzburg and drive towards it, the game crashes just before reaching Würzburg. Does anyone have a solution, or is anyone else experiencing this problem?
PC/Steam Version I played Journey Mode using a freight train. Severe stuttering occurred upon arrival at Würzburg Station. Fortunately, the game didn't crash, but it was unstable.
On the first screen you come to after selecting Freight Hauler you can chose where you spawn as you would in Free Roam along with date, time and weather. See 'start at' bar or use the map to click on locations. If you do want to move after spawning in somewhere you can also use 'fast travel'. Look on the 2D map for circles with a crosshair on like below. The footsteps are where you are.
Just read patch notes for tomorrow and no mention of a fix for the 193 safety systems and AFB. Are joking DTG.
Thanks for the tip; I’m well aware I can skip the fast travel part... I just sort of expected that if I chose Würzburg as my starting area, there would be some activity right there in Würzburg... rather than having it be on the other side of the map.
Funny thing is every time I've tried it so far on this route all the wagons have been the Nürnburg end (Rbf. or Fürth). After replying to you I went in, spawned at Nürnburg Rbf. and all the wagons to move were back at Würzburg
In the end, I was supposed to move about five wagons from Nurnberg and Fürth back to Würzburg as well, but unfortunately, it ended when I supposedly strayed outside the playable zone at Nurnberg Rbf, and that was it... It’s probably safer to route all shunting movements at Nurnberg Rbf toward the switches leading to Fürth.
I have a question. It seems like signal R30 on track 30 at Nuremberg Station isn't lit up. It remains dark when I approach it in the S-Bahn, even though the HUD shows it as blue. Does anyone know about this?
For some reason unknown to me, the Talent 2 of this Route can be used as a Substitute for the BR 612. I can use it on the Tharandter Rampe on RE3 Services and Maintalbahn, there it's completely useless. I hope DTG doesn't change this for Tharandter Rampe, even if it is unrealistic.
Just tried the vectron and still no safety systems scoring tells you to switch on ATB and cant set afb with controller. DTG Alex is this gonna be sort or not ?? I think we all deserve one that works correctly.
Hello, Driving the 3 new routes in advance - thanks to earlier access - I noticed this issues: 1 ) Driving the Class 800 LNER, there is a big spece, between the locomotive, and the first passenger car! 2) Trains arrive a crossing, and some few railroad gates, does not close Please notice there it is hardly to you se the closing doors bars ... but consider I keep the image relative big to notice. In normal size you did not see it clearly Regards.
It was supposed to be fixed in a patch, but on the Nuremberg route, the BR 442's Automatic Train Conductor system is not working. The settings are set to "Realistic." PC/Steam version. Please check this.
If it is set to “Realistic” I would expect it not to do anything, as on the real train the doors are the driver’s responsibility… Have you tried setting it to “Always”?
I brought up both issues on Matt’s stream yesterday. He said the scoring bug was known and is being looked at. The confirm afb speed was news to him, but he has put it on his list of issues to bring up with the team today. Let’s hope they get it fixed quickly because losing this keybind is a major pain in the backside
Dear Open Mind, Thank you for the explanation. It was very helpful, as the new UI lacks descriptions and I was having trouble understanding things. Even in timetable mode, there are so many trains with long layovers in Nuremberg that it gets boring. The in-train announcements on the BR 442 are too quiet, aren't they?
To DTG, PC/Steam version: Severe stuttering occurs when arriving at Würzburg Station from the direction of Nuremberg. In Timetable Mode, stopping the train is very difficult when operating the six Vectron freight services. Please fix this.
This sounds similar to what I was experiencing on Preston to Crewe yesterday. It has been suggested elsewhere that switching to DX11 from DX12 might help, though that kind of defeats the point of TSW7 as you lose DLSS and (presumably) the enhanced lighting. If that is the case, then there didn’t seem much point in stepping up from TSW6 unless you need 7 for the new content, which I didn’t bother with in the end.
Dear Old Barn, I purchased version 7 and was looking forward to experiencing the new features. I imagine the load on the system is quite heavy. Every time I reach the final stop, the game stutters so badly that braking becomes difficult. One troublesome aspect of version 7 is the complexity of the graphics settings. Younger players would likely find it confusing. I was really looking forward to this route, so I hope it gets fixed. There is severe lag and stuttering at the terminal station.
