In the game during training and scenarios it says to enable safety systems on the Flying Scotsman, however the system it says to enable as far as I know do not exist on that train.

Unless they fixed it in TSW5, how does one enable AWS & TPSW on this said train?

    Please and thank you

You can activate the AWS, it’s a bit tricky to find the switch but it’s located where the fireman stands, at the bottom.

When I get a chance, I will check it out.

    Never know that.

What does this AWS do? Exs

    a) beep every so often.

    b) make sure I am below speed limit considering the train ahead if any.

    Thank you

When approaching a green signal, it will ring a bell to indicate that. If you approach a yellow or red signal, it will sound a horn. You must acknowledge this horn by pressing the AWS acknowledge button within a couple of seconds.

Sorry to bump this but I'm having the same problem
I've UNisolated the AWS on the fireman's side but nothing happens. Am I supposed to do something else? The sunflower doesn't illuminate and there's no HUD yellow warnings approaching signals...

No, that's it. For some reason, on this loco there's a bug where there is no visual indication of an AWS warning. The sunflower is permanently on, even after passing a green signal, and there's no HUD indicator either.

The audible part should be working, although when you're at speed it can be quite hard to hear.

I don't have the sound up due to disability and rely on the HUD. Although going over an AWS magnet with no controller input doesn't stop the train. Therefore unfortunately activating the AWS is pointless on PS5 and I can now understand why it was £2 in the playstation sale :)

It's a lovely loco and it's a shame the safety systems don't work properly. I prefer it to the other steam engines.
