Absolutely - blue & grey Mk1s are sorely missing from the BR routes now! They way the game’s going though I feel it’s quite likely we’ll see them sooner or later, it seems BR Blue is more popular than DTG initially thought and now that we have two 3rd party devs on it things are looking pretty hopeful. I’m optimistic on that score, at least. Athena - the less said the better…
Was playing the OG last night and it’s still a great route. The detail is pretty low compared with recent routes but it still creates an effective atmosphere. That old lighting model is rough though.
The only reason I've not uninstalled the Athena DLC is because it's the only Blue/grey mark one stock we have. JT have dabbled with the Blue/grey RMBs so I can imagine they'll release something with Mark 1 carriages before long, possibly next project after Cumbrian coast.

I think the Class 37 is ripe for an Expert model. Would be nice to have this as the first brit expert train in the game.
There was a mod which reskinned some Mk1s (I think they were SoS ones) and subbed them into the timetable in place of the Mk2s, even if we can't get some built specially it would be nice if something like this could be done. IIRC they had 70/80s era seat moquette, the only downside to them was they were vac only which stopped them being used in my railtour formations. Regardless, I'm just happy that this is happening One thing to bear in mind is that devs talk, there is usually some kind of plan as to who is doing what, I'd see this as a very positive sign for more 1980s BR stuff in future Now dare we bring up the debate and speculation as to "where next?" my money is on Leeds-York-Scarborough Sorry just had to get that one in there first, diving for cover now
To make things clear, the remaster is FREE to those who own NTP. The 37/0 is a paid loco DLC, with 2 new wagons and timetable. Signals are not on the current scope to fix, same with track, due to the amount of work thats been required to bring the route up to standards we all expect and our own internal standards. We may look at signals post release however so my words dont get twisted
Hopefully whenever this remaster releases, someone does a before and after video, with the exact same service. Old on the left and new on the right, I think Richy Rail does something like that but I've never really watched them as he jumps back and forth between the two.
Loving the sound of the remaster! Love the route as it is so will be great to see it reworked! My one concern is the new timetables and getting blurry textures? Are things looking okay at the moment?
Is there any chance of nameplates or br green liveries/ sub classes (class 40 with squad headcode boxes with be peak) being added with it or as future additions?
I hope the class 108 from the upcoming Cumbrian coast route gets some services/gets subbed with the 37/0 timetable. I also hope (and this is a bit of a big ask) healey mills gets included with the remaster and just think it would go so well with the 37/0 I think it would be a shame if it wasn’t included. It’s only a 1-2 mile branch off the existing section of the line we currently have in Tsw so it would definitely would be do-able.
I’m hoping for a class 25 with the Cumbrian coast route I honestly think that will be the freight and shunting loco they have been talking about. I hope for when they reveal the loco they’ve been talking about it’s not the 47 again or the 37. As much as I love those locos I don’t think it’ll be good value for money as they’ve done the class 47 for their last 3 routes and we are getting the 37 from pixel punk.
The 47 has been over used on all of JTs routes. Not their fault entirely as no BR stuff was done after TVL to any degree. The 87s and 86s again see a bit of overuse as JT wont or cant develop 81s or 85s for AC routes. Its a shame when its compared to the DB stuff which has a decent selection and variety of stuff on some routes. In fact the 85 numbered 40 examples and the 87s 36 (Incl the 87/1)....
In all fairness there are quite a lot of 86s no? I don't think we have all the subclasses in game yet as well. Would like to see the /0 and /1 as a bundled pack, wouldn't require JT to make a whole new model and satisfies the gap. An 85 would be nice but I assume there being no running example around makes it harder. Are there any plans to restore an AL1-5 to running condition?
I think it is down to numerous factors, one being that only one of each type exists, neither is able to run and thus able to have sounds recorded. I also suspect the physics side of TSW presents a challenge. The dev time is far greater than previous rail simulations and thus even more of a challenge. Its a great shame though as the early AC locos were very very common in the time set.
Also the more modern AC electrics lend themselves to other variations and liveries, whereas the 81 and 85 are pretty limited in that regard.
YES! New 37 sounds!! I hope the 37/0 pack isn't in just one livery but also includes other livery varients like railfreight and large logo blue. Would be cool to see some named variants as well.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Not much variation in 83. Plus the article says split box in BR blue. No mention of anything else.

Reminds me of a few cleaning turns I did on the Bluebell during a Gala where Manston (BOB class) was visiting and its kept in weathered running conditions and we were explicitly told not to go anywhere near the body work with anything remotely clean
