    ICE 4 (DB BR 412):
    - Turning AFB off does not trigger the warning sound "AFB, AFB, AFB" sound as should.

    - Driving under PZB I passed a 1000Hz magnet. I acknowledged it and run below 85 Km/h for a while but at some point I got distracted and I reached 89Km/h while the 85 indicator was still blinking (the yellow 1000Hz indicator was off already at this point). The emergency brake was not triggered as it should have been. Note: waited more than 5 seconds to make sure the emergency brake was not triggering while the 85 was still blinking to make sure I was not just lucky that I exceeded the limit exactly when the 85 indicator was going to stop blinking.

Please make sure this is fixed. Safety systems that do not work properly are a huge problem.

Noticeable stuttering also occurs on the section between Würzburg Station and the next station towards Nuremberg.

    ICE4:
problem:The reason for the inaccurate speed control of the new version of AFB has not been resolved.

Details:During the fine-tuning process of AFB, it was found that the AFB handle model did move slightly, but the pointer on the MTD may not change, which could result in a maximum difference of approximately 4km/h between the set speed and the actual vehicle speed. Players usually control AFB through the notification bar on the right side of the screen, rather than carefully checking MTD (as there are no numbers on MTD). The notification bar on the right is well coordinated with the AFB controller model, but the yellow dot on the MTD determines the vehicle speed.

Actually, I personally think that many vehicles in the game also have similar issues with throttle control, but power output usually does not require 1% control, so there is no need to worry.

BTW, still wanted to give feedback on this, as I am now in a postition to confirm that the TSW representation of the ICE4 is correct (asked someone who knows better then me):D.

The ICE4 uses the HL (5 bar line through the train) only for emergency braking. All normal braking applications are done by direct braking on each individual waggon, as suspected orignially. This has then no impact on the HL pressure.

The ICE3 is much more conventional, in this aspect. It still uses the HL for normal braking applications (although, different pressure values are used dependant an speed and WB status).

    Thank you, Karnil.
When the service is running on the section leading up to that station,
    the stuttering is severe.

so thats why the analog gauge barely moves and only braking stuff is shown in the digital screen?

Correct! The analog gauge will only move while emergency braking

see, stuff like this is sometimes mentioned in the streams, but not always, and rarely in the articles, and then comes the route/loco/train and ppl like me are wondering what the hell :D ... I understand the majority of ppl will just fire up the game and play, but ppl who have spent thousands of hrs in this game (and ppl much more knowledgeable as well) will notice

as experienced as I am in this game, a lot of what I have learned over time is from this game and its iterations, plus a bit of my own studying... if they are going to introduce sth more updated, more nuanced, closer to reality, thats noticeably different from previous (and often more lenient towards players), it would be nice to point this out

like, hey, this iteration of ICE3 features more realistic standing brake of AFB (if you remember me ruminating about why open doors wont stop the train from departing when Train brake is Released), and its AFB braking is less powerful, forcing you to now do it on your own, closer to IRL.. stuff like this

The brakes on the BR442 Talent 2 seem a bit over-sensitive, compared to previous versions

Not sure if this was reported for this route yet, as I've seen it an issue for rail journeys for other routes, but scores and medals for rail journey for this route are not being saved consistently for the ICE 4 journey, even though it shows you earning them in the route, for both scenarios and regular routes. upload_2026-9-16_11-8-36.png upload_2026-9-16_11-8-36.png upload_2026-9-16_11-8-55.png upload_2026-9-16_11-8-55.png

EDIT: Sorry for the full images...tried making it a small thumbnail only, but it posted both, at least on my end...

    Hallo Dovetail-Team,

Another thing that just happened on Rail Journey mode on ICE 4, if you have the random track faults on the track director can put the fault warning marker RIGHT after the LZB block begins (assuming you have LZB mode on), causing your train to immediately lock up the brakes and slam you back down to 30 mph before you know what's happened, even with AFB off. It releases after it gets low enough, so I guess it accomplishes its purpose, but I'm guessing the fault markers weren't meant to be randomized right behind the LZB sign, I could be wrong though.

Others have noted but I will reiterate that for the BR 440 there should not be any Wachsam/PZB acknowledgement sound, except for when an active magnet is awaiting acknowledgement. However, on Series X when using the button to acknowledge PZB or Sifa, the tone always sounds no matter what, which is incorrect and results in a lot of unnecessary alerts during a service.

A few questions regarding the 412. Why does the yellow AFB dial look so different. It should be a yellow diamond and it should be in between the white lines of the speedometer not above it. It also completely disappears when entering a LZB zone.

Something less important and maybe im just deaf or they used a whole lot of WD-40 but both the cab door and the door of the switch cabinet don’t make any sounds when opening or closing them. Are they that quiet irl?

And are the headlights supposed to be this dim? From what I could find online you are supposed to see more.

Could someone tell me if this is a bug?
The platform number sign on Platform 1 at Kitzingen Station reads "1/9." Is this correct?

On the turntable with wires at Würzburg, whilst the locomotive is operable in the area, the pantograph isn't raised. I suspect this is due to there being no proper OHLE in the area.

ICE 822 from Nürnberg to Würzburg with the ICE 3 starts at platform 7 at Nürnberg Hbf. The departure signal shows Sh1 (shunting signal, red with two whites), while it should show Hp 2 (green and amber) or even Hp 1 (green) instead.
I didn't think too much of it, considering DTG's track record with German signalling, and tried to pass it with PZB Befehl, as I would any other Sh1. Got a penalty brake regardless.

So far, the new route is no fun for me. Driving along it feels more like a chore than a joy :|

Well so far I'm not impressed. The route is... nice, the scenery is well done, especially the Nürnberg/Fürth area. The landscape isn't very faceted though, but that's what I expected... it's how this region is in real life ;)
Driving here feels tedious to me, not much fun. So far I started 7 services with the 440, 145 and ICE 3, of which I completed 2 and aborted the others for some reason or another. Not sure if its the route or the 440, but it just doesn't sit right with me. The 440 is just another generic stick-pusher EMU, and apart from having its own cab layout, drives very much like a 425 or 442, or the ÖBB 4024.
I might come back to the route after the first patch(es), but for now I think I'll let it rest a bit :)

I think the scenery is nice, it performs ok and the variety in services is good. If they can fix some of these early bugs, it can be a great route.

    Thanks for your feedback.
It does feel a bit sluggish, doesn't it?
If the stuttering were reduced, it would be enjoyable, but as it stands, it just gets tiring.
The stop duration at Nuremberg for S-Bahn arrivals and departures is a bit of a hassle.
I’d like the in-train announcements on the BR 442 to be a bit louder; right now, they are barely audible—little more than background noise.

All of mine were in timetable. Maybe worth mentioning as well, never started a service at Kitzingen itself, I always started in Würzburg and turned the train around in Kitzingen. Not sure it’s relevant or not, thought I mention it, though

The BR 440 services on RE10 ending in Würzburg at Platform 8 have the problem that the two units are a bit too long for beeing stopped by the signal in the middle of the platform. As a player you can stop with high risk of overshoot the signal some centimeters to the signal, but still the last door will be oputside of the passanger platform. AI trains will stop even some meters away, so going back to Nürnberg starts behind the outbound signal...
For 1-unit-trains it would be perfect, but for 2 units they should get the whole platform.
    Screenshot 2026-09-19 232634.jpg Screenshot 2026-09-20 000158.jpg

On the Maintalbahn to Milterberg you can now choose the electric BR 440 for the diesel services...;-)

The RE30/31/32 services in Nürnberg never spawn trains in my game. They are delayed forever. I have the RE30 layer with the BR 612 from Tharandter Rampe enabled. The RE7 in Würzburg works fine with the 612.
