Route Nec: New York - Trenton - Feedback Thread

I think Matt stated that since the SD40-2 was never given cab signals, it can’t do mainline runs. (which i don’t really understand why? but then again i don’t know squat when it comes down to train and tsw logic)

 

With DLSS/DLAA, I notice arriving into Penn Station, that the tracks/tunnel/platform begin developing artifacting and screen flashes with some assets turning black for a split second. I think DLSS/DLAA is not able to properly render the outdated assets for this route

 

He did say that back when Trenton came out, but doesn't the SD40 on Stamford have a mainline run? I don't really know if that one has cab signals or not. Even if not, cab signals wouldn't matter for freight hauler because there is no AI freight. Of course the player would be responsible for following the signals... just like they currently are on the Tri-Rail route. The other thing is that DTG initially said that freight hauler would be back-compatible for all routes. Although they backtracked on that pretty quickly, clearly in the "original" plan for freight hauler, cab signals were not an issue. As of right now we don't know if freight hauler will ever be ported to any older routes at all, but I do think we will see it on least some of them, eventually.
