It has nothing to do with the number of mods… I wrote in the other thread as well: I have 233 active and it was just one that caused issues the Westbahn Flirt skin. The amount you have absolutely isn’t the problem.

I also got flickering, but in FSR Native AA. Through experimentation, I discovered that the monitor is the problem—it doesn't like low FPS, forcing it to change its refresh rate excessively. However, this problem doesn't occur in Quality mode.

Yeah I saw that, but I don't have that specific mod you mentioned, so it must be at least one other mod, too or something else entirely.

go into settings and you’ll see there’s a whole bit for safety systems. I know the game asks you when you set it up by it doesn’t seem to remember that. If you do it through settings it should work though

Ok in my case I have found the culprits for the issue with route icons not loading......... I had three mods that caused the issue and now they have been removed all is fine. (Still sluggish to load as others have already posted)

The faulty mods I had installed are....

    !Tesco_FKA.pak
    NR_153VIU.pak
    rivieraoverlaymod.pak

I can't find the Riviera Overlay mod on TSC now so that looks like a discontinued mod and I also had another version of the Tesco mod called !Tesco_FKA_Fix.pak but the issue is that the faulty version is what is packaged with the OST timetable mods for WCML South and Brum to Crewe so possibly needs the Fix version of the file adding to those timetables rather than the one used?

I've commented on the Timetable mod page advising of this issue and also on the NR153 mod page along with someone else saying the same thing.

Is it just me that has awful night time lighting with TSW7?

At first I thought it was because London Brighton was old but then Crewe Preston is the same. Black sky but everything else looks like it's dusk not between 10-11pm

Both cabview shots are taken without the cab lights on too.

How can it look stunning in the daytime but this bad at night?

I have had very excessive flickering as well. What helped a lot was enabling AMD Freesync in the driver settings.
I still at times have flickering issues, especially on the FF - Fulda when driving the FLix Train, but on other routes this impoved it greatly!

Ignore my last post regarding night lighting. It was an error on my part. I had enabled RTX Dynamic Vibrance the other day when doing daytime runs to give the visuals an extra pop and forgotten I had done it. Once I'd opened the Nvidia sidebar and dropped the RTX Dynamic Vibrance intensity slider down to 0% everything looked as it should on night time runs. I'll have to remember to switch it to 0% when driving at night.

It's just that freesync is always on.

One thing I have noticed using DLSS and swapping between DLAA and Quality, depending on the route, is a bit of moire on sleepers as they render in front of the train.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, or if it's just me...

When switching between the Würzburg-Nuremberg and Nuremberg-Ingolstadt routes, the environment at the Nuremberg station feels "heavier" on the former route compared to the Ingolstadt one. At least for me, when walking around the station and looking at the surroundings, the frame rate and movement smoothness are much better on the Ingolstadt route than on the DTG one.

Perhaps DTG's route-building methods have made the German routes too "heavy" for the simulator—considering what also happens in Frankfurt...

I think this is mostly due to the fact that dtg’s nurnberg is much larger than that of TSG. For example the rangierbahnhof in nurnberg isn’t included in tsg’s route.

Your abse frame rate may be too low. The lower your frame rate the more prone to artifacts your image will be when running DLSS/FSR and frame generation. I suggest to disable all of them, adjust remainder of the settings until you get reliably 30+ FPS. after, enable DLSS on Quality and you should see an improvement...
