Even where the AI Conductor is in use, set to Always, we still have the ludicrous situation of doors opening off the platform. This at Hartford on SoS where the train is overlength for the platform, with the front coach just on the platform the rear of the train is off it... For gods sake, sort this out Dovetail.
Train sim world will not load anymore since downloading my previous routes. It just sits there doing nothing. And yes, I am connected to the internet
Hello, I would appreciate if you could make the UI more eye-comfortable. Those grey dots on the grey background are not comfortable to my eyes. They seem to flicker although they are static. It is hard to describe - it must be a visual illusion. Also I find the letters are hard to read cause they are also grey. Can you just change the font colour or the background colour for better contrast? In TSW 6 there is good contrast and it is really comfortable to my eyes. Dark blue background and a white font is just perfect! I play on PC (Steam) and I have a big OLED display (3440x1440, 175 Hz). Thanks for reading.
Anyone else having an issue with scenario creation? I created a scenario on GWE and used a loco with custom livalry. Loaded up the scenario and it dumps me in random places on the map. Same happens when ive restarted the scenario and it would dump me somewhere else. The loco isnt even showing on the map. Im on PS5 by the way
If I'm right there is a switch to activate skins from the creatorsclub do you have that enabled? Or do you have already drive with a CC skin?
Upon loading into Riviera and ECW for the first time on XSX everything was blurred heavily for me and everything hadn't loaded properly. The sounds were also lagging out too. Only way I could fix it was quitting the game and reloading. TSW7 has also deleted a bunch of my scoring on the 171 pack and I'm unable to replay the services to get the score back.
Matt has said that the team are looking into a "dark mode" replacement, BUT obviously they need to maintain visible separation of colours for colourblind and visually impaired players, so there will be no quick fix. please stand by.
I can't say for 100% sure it's the reason for TSW...but for other games I think that's there in case there are slight issues with screen sizes on some peoples' computers. It gives a little space to "play with" so the very edges of the screen don't "fit" then you aren't cutting off anything important. It's often by design.
When I set all safety systems to ON (PZB,LZB,..) per default in the game settings but SIFA only to off, when loading a timetable scenario SIFA is always on wrongly.
from your screenshot it looks like they increased the general font size... while I dont mind some extra visibility, the places where they adjusted this arent IMO places that really needed it and it just takes space... how about making stuff on in-cab displays actually clear to read without having to click on em (which disables stuff like acknowledging safety systems, ehm ehm )
Semmeringbahn, Milkshake scenario. At the end you talk to the guard. Red box, pink writing. They used to bend over backwards to accommodate colour deficiencies, now they've given me one.
Sorry but that has nothing to do with the issue I'm raising which was we still have doors opening on portion of the train not at the platform. If you look closely at the screenshot these were actually under the bridge and would have hit the brickwork!
And here some positive feedback: I'm absolutely delighted that I am now able to use -DX12 -FSR / DLSS -Frame generation -Epic settings So many new and useful features to find the right balance between graphics quality and performance. Just thank you!
Something else that wasn't addressed in the core updates... The end of run summary screen still frequently lists the wrong route. I just finished a run on Frankfurt S Bahn and it showed up as Bremen to Oldenburg! I know the AP does get correctly allocated, well I hope it does, but come on guys - can't you fix this basic error?
PS5 When trying to change a setting in the Audio options window the ‘apply’ button does not work. Counter intuitively, the only way to save any changed settings is to press ’Circle’ (go back button) and then a pop up with save/cancel options appears. Perhaps removing the ‘apply’ icon from the bottom of the screen and adding some helpful text would be useful.
DB BR 218 on PC When AI Conductor set to 'always' the door closing lever constantly clicks and animates. Setting it to 'off' stopped it.
Not sure if this is old; LIRR Commuter mastery, access to office on bridge. There are two tiles to tick. edit PS5
For me there is so much wrong with this new release and l have been driving today on the full length from Crewe to MK. Every ten miles l’d lose the track and keep changing between the low and medium setting and with all settings in Advance Settings set to the lowest. Never had a problem in TSW6, so why don’t DTG install into the old game which had less errors for me. On every new release there are so many new problems and issues which now need resolving. DTGs time seems to me, to be in working on the issues a new release brings instead of working on new routes and locomotives.
I did the 45 tour on Cathcart and the route turned messy, even the 40 on the back, which I've not seen before (blur).
I just a full run on ecml with 60 layers turned off and it was blurry the entire length. Makes it horrible to play on any route.
That's weird. Most people have been experiencing the opposite. Wonder what the difference in experience is caused by.
That's... now what I'd call "blurry" so much as I dunno... not fully rendered? Like the basic texturing underneath before the finer details resolve. Maybe something to do with shaders and graphics layering? By "blurry" I'm generally talking about things that are fuzzy when in motion. I agree that's very unusual and I have rarelyseen that happen myself in TSW although I've seen it in other games that are lagging. It does happen with rails sometimes where you see them load in layer by layer into clearer focus.
That's shocking and unacceptable tbh. Especially the Miami one as that barely has any additional layers. PS5 has many blurring issues, but for me, with all my layers installed, I get little issues on any of the new routes, even the German one. Dovetail really need to sort this out, the Miami pic would look bad running on a Dreamcast.
In my experience, these screenshots are emblematic of what most console users mean when they describe the ingame textures as being "Blurry".
Not to discount anything that others are experiencing, but I can fairly say that I have never seen anything like this on Series X. For me, for the most part, I only see blurred textures on certain routes, especially if I have been driving for a while, and it's usually liveries or station signage and not particularly noticeable from the cab. The blurring is also not as extreme as this, more of a softening of edges. So, on average, I would say blurred textures have not effected my Series X experience as much as others. However, one of the main things I do to try to mitigate blurred textures is too keep installed DLC to a minimum, while also running in HD, turning off volumetric fog, not having very many downloaded liveries, etc. I have found that these things can help, and I do recommend them to other console players, while always remembering that in the end the issue can only truly be addressed by DTG.
PC/Steam Screen Resolution percentage slider keeps getting reset to 100% when using TAA from the value set. When will this issue be solved ? DTG Matt DTG Alex Its there since early access still its not resolved ! Pleases fix this ASAP.
I don't know if consoles are susceptible to graphical issues due to overheating (accumulation of dust inside, for example), but I do know PCs can be. I wonder if this is a reason why some console users with much the same content are having such different experiences?
Age might have something to do with it as well. There could be years in production and many hours of difference in wear and tear on any given system even when they are the same "model."
Agreed. To me "blurry" has meant that "fuzziness around the edges." The other thing... is a new thing I've never seen in TSW before. It is more a resolution issue. As I said, I've only seen it in other games where there's some sort of "overlay" issue for lack of a better term. Kind of like when "layers" of a vehicle generate in pieces due to a lag in processing. Only this LOOKS like it's the final surface layers of detail not appearing? I guess they could relate to the same core issue (processing overload) but a very different expression. I'm gonna guess it's related to the shader processing. Maybe the image you're getting of the train is what it "really" looks like before shaders filter it into detail?
September always brings a new release of TSW and with it a load of new bugs and fixes and numerous updates of anything between 20gb to 40gb which on my slow and creepy internet speed takes days to update. DTG have a load of beta testers so, why oh why do we have to suffer these numerous problems on every new release. Wouldn’t you think that they would be so advanced with new releases that they would keep them back until they are running almost perfectly. My suggestion would be for DTG not to release TSW 8 next September, but to work for at least two years testing the next release with the beta testers to ensure it is running both smoothly and perfectly before embarrassing themselves with the release of another broken version of TSW to its community public!!!
PS5 and SX/S will shut down if they overheat to the point of graphical errors. My PS5 is cleaned every few months and still gets the issues.
Not a very good idea. I'd rather have the current situations with the biggest errors being fixed than having to wait that long for new content.
That's not exactly what I meant. New stuff releasing with some bugs (which are hopefully fixed quickly) is better than having to wait for it to be perfect before it's released. Mind you, most releases for this game are not that bad.
There is also no patch feedback thread in the official patch feedback forum. Good thing we still have general discussion with a patch feedback thread
foggy#2817. I am not suggesting a stop on new content. Any new releases can be added to the existing edition.
