The DLC's Steam page is already ready : https://store.steampowered.com/app/...adami_Line_AizuWakamatsu__Tadami_Route_AddOn/
That’s right, DTG has indicated on the new roadmap that it will be released on 29 September 2026. And the page on Steam has been there since the very first day of release.
dtg_jan Are you going to unlock the Q&A for the stream so we can update the questions? In particular, the one many of us are asking - exactly why the route was pulled and can we have an assurance the issues have been properly sorted and more importantly tested behind the scenes? Including the EP actually running the route from end to end before attempting to demonstrate it...
I feel like the livestream is going to be a short affair bombarded by people asking when things from TSW7 launch will be fixed, or completed with general smatterings of "the beta team are doing a great job" and "we don't have the answer for that, because the route developers are sleeping"
fully agree. and if language is a barrier I am sure DTG could have paid for an interpreter for a few hours.
I still can't believe this is finally being released but I'll only truly believe it once I've bought the DLC and downloaded the file to my PC
I saw that leaked video and was genuinely shocked by how bad it looked. So many things simply didn’t meet the new TSW standards. I can hardly imagine that all of that was fixed in just eight weeks, including adding the TSW7 version on top of it to add those as well. So I’m pretty sceptical.
Got to be honest, I am still very sceptical about this. Plus, having now got Running Train working well, that has been satisfying my Japanese train simming needs for the last couple of weeks.
Let me be clear: if the vegetation and route features aren’t done well, then spending 3.5 hours driving at 40 km/h won’t be enjoyable at all it’ll be torture. And yes, there is competition, so you actually have alternatives to choose from. I also think that for most people outside Japan, this route isn’t very high on their list to begin with, so tonight’s preview stream really needs to convince you. If that fails, they’ll lose a very large part of their audience immediately. The problem is also that in Japan it’s the middle of the night, so there will be very few people watching the stream live. So yes, the sales of this product are far from guaranteed at this point.
Have to agree with this, and the fact that UW stated they had completed the "optimisation work" that DTG asked of them in just 2 weeks seems likely that the appalling LOD's and lacklustre attention to scenics will be unchanged. I stand to be corrected but I feel like this is another of those "just get it out the door" DLC.
Fixing all these problems in just one week and two days and adding TSW7 features on top of that sounds impossible to me especially considering how long the entire development process has already taken.
So the preview has started and again a run in practical pitch dark.... WTF why? Choose not such times WE WANT TO SEE THE ROUTE.... But what I have seen so far it's not good.....
I wonder that too. Why? It looks awful and the train sounds like absolute badly, sorry. After the really good start with TSW7, this - judging by what we're seeing here - really drags things down again. Is this MSTS? No announcements, no suspension. Poor! This shouldn't have been released like this.
Looks like tsw 3, no suspension, no announcements, no decent foliage, low res passengers and cab. There are 100 people doing better than this on the ‘creation sharing’ tab
The live comments are the same.... TSW3 vibes and this looks not good.... This takes 4 years how etc etc
That could have been a wonderful route. But it looks so bad. And now they’re coming up with the excuse that there are no automatic announcements in real life. So what? You could just record real announcements and pretend. It is simply a step backward compared to TSW2/3. Besides, it is pitch dark - no lights are on, even though it is almost night. There are no cars driving around. It feels empty.
so, no suspension and the sounds are exactly the same as the tsc version... i'll be buying it but they should have at least added suspension...
The announcements excuse is such a cop-out. There's already several trains in TSW that in real life would not have automated announcements yet the game still has them implemented.
After 4 years of production it's terrible in what state it is. So its not fair to say such things about people those are very disappointed about an add-on that's listed so long on the road map.
it’s clear that this is a tsw3 route and since development began there has been no work done to maintain it to modern standards. if a third party route takes more than a year, fine, some things take time. but in that case, they should be expected to implement any new core features that get added to the game whilst their route is still in development. inconsistency plaguing tsw as per usual. hard pass from me, was never likely to get it as personally i value gameplay more than scenery, but this is a shockingly bad look for dtg and uw
Yeah i dont watch any further its more with the same. Nice try but i skip this addon and i would not pay 39,99€.... Its not fair to ask this for this route.
A rural single-track diesel route was something I was looking forward to when Tadami was announced, but then we got both Niddertalbahn and Liberec-Stara Paká (that one with the suspension, announcements, advanced trains and interesting gameplay) so the only real new thing coming with Tadami is the country itself. Not sure if it's enough for me to justify buying it for full price with my limited budget.
3 years ago this standard was perfect but with the Niddertalbahn and Liberec Stara Parka now already available it's far behind those routes.
i do wonder what’s taken so long for the route to get finished because it’s clear that it’s been built to the same standard the whole time, and routes nowadays have generally progressed to a higher standard
Normally, I’d expect an old railcar like that to make a really loud racket. But everything feels so smooth. Even when Matt opened the window, the sound didn't change at all. Hmm...
Pure guess but i think missing experience with the UE Editor and choosing a route that is way to difficult and to long to begin with.
so now we know there are no beta testers, how on earth would they miss the train not having suspension.......
Union Workshop already made Tadami line for TS Classic. That's partly why they chose it. But of all the Japanese routes Union Workshop already made for TS Classic, they literally picked the longest and most boring one to do for TSW. Probably not a good choice on their part. Their other TS classic routes like Wakayama lines, Tohoku Shinkansen, Tokyo commuter would’ve all been better choices for TSW. Even Hidaka line would have been better. It would've been a nice entry point to TSW for them since it’s a short and interesting seaside route akin to Isle of Wight.
