I know this thread is probably too early, but better sooner than later I guess. At the moment, we can set Sodor to different times of the year and different weather like rain or snow. I'd like decoration options like seasonal ones for example. Choose to deck out a snowy Sodor around the Christmas season or couple Halloween décor with a foggy night service run. Not just seasonal too, could be anything that fits Sodor and adds a nice variety.
I like that idea a lot actually! They can already do seasonal differences in some ways so it would be very cool to see that!
Halloween is right around the corner and the only thing I can think of that fits Sodor nicely is if we could set the season to around October and it adds jack-o-lanterns around random spots on the map. I also noticed in one video a while back where having the fog up is pretty handy already for a nice spooky run through Sodor, Gordon jumpscared the player straight out of the thickness of the mist. (Edit: A decoration we could have to turn on and off that would fit with this nicely is the Season 2 Viaduct scaffolding.)
I think it could, the only other ones we know about are the five that complete a fairground at Whistling Woods Halt. Both are events that don't overstay their welcome. Anything could fit into the tiles category, like the Proteus Statue in a field by the narrow gauge railway. Although that statue feels like a permanent thing, maybe just event related things. You could have jack-o-lanterns and Christmas decorations in that, but it would cover various spots on Sodor.
