Tadami Line Screenshots

The shots I posted were from a video by a TSW ambassador on YouTube.

 

These are not "forbidden" images. The screenshots were all taken from the immediate vicinity of the tracks either directly from the cab or while flying around the area. They show areas that are directly visible.

 

That's disappointing then. Holding off on this one until it gets a major patch.

 

DTG, where’s your Q&A department?
We’re all too familiar with DTG releasing half-baked DLC like this.

DTG, perhaps you should start selling really high-quality DLC – and TSW itself, for that matter.
Personally, I won’t even buy this Tadami Line, even if it costs just 5 euros.

They said in the official stream that it’s not used on the line in reality and that’s why you don’t see it working in the sim. How true that is I couldn’t tell you.

 

But why do you buy this stuff?
Wouldn't a couple of beers at the pub be better?

 

Or a really deep sale. Or both.

 

In case you're referring to me: I didn't buy the DLC; the screenshots are from a showcase video by a YouTuber—see above.

But yeah, I was super hyped about Tadami because I just like Japan, but in this case, the money is better spent on a few beers at the pub or at home. No front.

You're much better off buying the TSC version at this point. Its only $10 rn

 

If this is ready to release I dread to think what state it must have been in when they pulled its TSW6 release. They definitely didn't decide to delay it to release for TSW7, and it was in an even worse state than this which is why they pulled it on release day, yeah?

 

I watched a stream from Matt today and it still looks very nice after all those years.

 

Well, if DTG said it's bad it must have been really, really bad. ^^

Edit: I do think that DTG upped their priorities in routes though, they seem to have more people doing clutter etc. in routes (on their own routes) and I really can't complain about that. Sofar i'm impressed with most of the new routes.

 

I feel so conflicted by this, In places the scenery looks decent but then 20ft away it all goes to LOVE. Japan has such potential and is a very large potential market that I still don't understand why DTG themselves have ignored it only to get this very mediocre for TSW2020 route. Imagine if we could get the Keikyu mainline or Hankyu or the Yamaonote Line or even some Shinkansen action, with how many Japanese rail fans there are those could sell like hotcakes (of course assuming that the quality is good). Oh well lets hope that the running train dev can make some real routes eventually, I'm sure they'll do them far more justice.

 

Just to clarify this, it doesn’t have enhanced lighting. The developers have done something with their own TOD system and have used one element of it (my understanding is they shouldn’t be doing that but I could be wrong), but enhanced lighting it is not.

Enhanced lighting is a core feature that will undergo proper testing before it goes to console.

 

Another laughable release. When are they going to have an overhaul of the QA and essentially what seems to be most of the process of building a route? I get it’s a third party but when you publish a route you put your name to it. It’s not a good look for DTG, at all.

 

Honestly impressive how well this runs on ps5 pro. Scenery wise it is a mix of really bad and really good in my opinion.

 

At this point I begin to wonder what oversight they are actually taking on these projects. Some of those pictures I wouldn’t even put out a freeware route in that state. It’s about time the DTG management grew a backbone and told 3P’s if it doesn’t cut muster, it doesn’t get published. And if that means 4 years of work down the drain then, oh dear, how sad, never mind…

 

After this many years, I am not convinced there should be anything really bad at all.

 

the issue is, as the publisher do they give a monkeys, chuck it out and get revenue has been number 1 priority since day 1.

 

DTG does not care to be honest. This route should not have been released in the state it is in. The fact that this route was delayed only to release in a poor state is embarrassing.

 

I think some of DTG do care, but the people who care don't generally make the decisions that matter.

It's a highly desired route, one that has been delayed, for a new iteration of the game, it's about as close as a flagship route you could get, it shouldn't have been released in anything other than peak condition.

Blame the bean counters (IMO), which are not generally the people with passion.

 

What happened to this beautiful route ?. This is not how it should look. It’s horrible because I’m getting memories of when the Fife circle first came out and everyone was posting images of the horrific scenery. It’s happening again with Tadami

 

They're not going to turn down an opportunity to make money, though. Their bottom line is the balance sheet and happy shareholders, not customers. You can tell from the way they mostly only come on here to tell us to stop making disparaging remarks as opposed to updating us on their progress with fixes, looking into things etc. Anybody know whether it's like this on Discord?

 

Looks like developers not really competent to do TSW content, combined with complete lack of QA and oversight by Dovetail. Shove it out on the store to make what monet they can off the poor sods who buy it and leave a refund too late.

 

Like most discords (all?) it's just a horrible mess of nonsense with no way to follow any discussion unless you're on there all the time.
How anyone thinks discord is superior to the organisation of forums is beyond me.

 

Discord is the cool thing. You have to have a discord. Plus with it being so chaotic in there a "sorry, we didn't see it" is much easier to let slide than on here.

 

Glad I'm not cool, because discord is garbage.
An infinite stream of consciousness of the same question and the same answers over and over, it bothers me way more than it should lol

 

I have a feeling Tadami will be fastest route to get a 80% discount sale. And after going through all the feedback and screenshot threads, I'm not sure if I'd purchase it even then.
