Announcing The Freightliner Class 70 From All Aboard Studios

I'd assume so, actually wouldn't be surprised if the 70 was released just a few days after Tadami. The fact they were both excluded from the Direct and only added afterwards to the roadmap makes me think both were originally intended for release within TSW6.

What happened to this dlc? Updates appear to have ceased.

 

I honestly thought ut would have been out by now so many if us waiting for and DTG have said nothing on it.

Yeah hopefully an update is along soon, excited to see what the 70 will offer, but the MML timetable is what I’m really looking forward too.

This and the NT158 are 2 of the things I want most from this years line up, shame they keep alluding to things coming sooner than they really are.

They might nit even preview they sometimes don't with just loco dlc.

It was announced in Feb 2026 I believe.. Going from the update that was given alongside the TSW7 announcement a month ago, could be here before Christmas (hopefully before Halloween)

I am looking forward to it plus several other items but I'll just play all the other content I've got until it comes. Seems a reasonable solution.

 

I think it'll be the next UK release. During the live stream for Airedale the 70 was an option for Matt. So I'm gonna take a guess and say it's quite close.

 

Now that Tadami is released, maybe we’ll get a new release article tomorrow?

they usually drop a release article before the roadmap (which will probably happen if not this week then the next one at maximum)

Alex mentioned the road map is scheduled for 13th October so it’s a few weeks away yet

 

question have you got the japan route and is it good thinking of getting it usually I stick to the Uk DLC but i am thinking of trying it Also been getting into US content more nowadays

 

No I haven't mainly due to the lack of suspension.

I like most US content although oddly I prefer the electrified routes more for some reason, although I like San Bernadino. Morristown is a good route and the last NEC looks good which I'll pick up soon.

 

I would much rather the devs take their time and do a cracking job with the 70, rather than seeing another pushed premature release.

 

Hopefully this is coming next week.

Just been announced, The Preview Stream is next Wednesday. So I'm going to guess the release is the following Tuesday.

i think the 13th or 15th is more likely, it’s rare for a dlc to release one day after the preview and there’s not been an article with a date yet

£14.99 my red line on that. And in light of recent QA issues with the core route releases and Tadami much as I desire this, I won’t be getting Day One.

 

I have a feeling it might be above the usual price due to the amount of interaction they've said they're putting into it!

I'm going to buy it anyway, because we've never had this level of detail on a diesel loco

 

Sorry but it could rot on the digital shelf for that price. Not much more than buying the complete game of Transport Fever 3. The just released BR285 diesel loco for SimRail costs £11 and includes a fully modelled interactive engine compartment.

 

And the last loco DLC, which still isn't fully patched more than six months after release. I haven't bought any DLC since it came out, despite a fair few items being on my wishlist (Trent Valley, Medway, Airedale, 333...). I'll start buying again when the 90 is a finished product.

 

Indeed. I have slightly more faith in AABS than ATS, but can’t forget the issues Birmingham to Crewe landed with and of course the still unfixed (AFAIK) non staggered catenary on the straight sections of Trent Valley. And as said, we can’t rely on DTG to be the arbiter of this. They’re like the bored Customs Officer in the Green channel, just waving everyone through. Eyes on the royalty/commission they are going to make and praying most who buy play beyond the two hour refund window before realising they were sold a lemon.

 

Hopefully we get a full article shortly? I wonder if this could be our first UK expert level loco? Either way, I hope it’s not a repeat of the 90 fiasco.

 

Given it was installed during the Airedale preview, hopefully it's had plenty of time with the Xbox beta testers! Always appreciate the AABS insights in previews too!

 

Could be waiting a while. The ATS team moved on to ECML South and they haven't mentioned fixing the 90, hoping it has been forgotten that they and DTG promised fixes.

 

Just a small one just in case anyone is thinking of getting MML in preparation for this. I bought MML in the Xbox sale and during the early mornings the sun shines metallic on all of the fields and terrain. Just so people are aware it's a bit off putting but otherwise I'm enjoying the route for the most part!

Hoping the new timetable will be good though as the route is showing it's age a little!
