PS5 Profile Corruption Issue For Players With Large Size Profiles Tsw6 & 7

After playing ICE787 on TSW7 I got a CE-100028-1 error after finishing and returning to the main menu. It’s attempting to save a BAK file, which failed. I have noticed this multiple times on the same route: Nurnberg - Wurzburg. I haven’t seen it on the other new routes yet. And after a restart it asked me again for importing my TSW6 save, so probably it corrupted my save file. I already submitted a ticket for this problem.

For now I am avoiding the Nurnberg - Wurzburg route.

Did anyone else experience these problems?

By the way I have PS5-pro.

 

Not on TSW, but I got the error before and it was because there wasn't any storage space left on the drive.

Deleted a game I didn't play much and never saw it again.

appleerwin, this has been a known issue on PS5 since last year. It's not related to your available storage space. I've been trying unsuccessfully to get DTG to acknowledge and fix this issue. Please see these topics too:

Out of curiosity, what is your level in TSW? This seems to hit players around the 1000+ level.

I opened ticket #127869 yesterday for this issue and received this response, so maybe there is still hope that it will be fixed:

"We are truly sorry this has caused you so much trouble. However, we would like to assure you that we have been working on a solution and so far our testing is proving very positive. Please keep an eye on our announcements as we should have an update soon."

 

I’m around level 850. Really annoying.
By the way it is not specific to the German route: I now also got it on the UK route.

 

Yeah, the issue seems to stem from completing a certain amount of services/scenarios/tutorials. There is some bucket of allocated save game space that fills up. I've always suspected that this would be an easy issue to fix if the right resources were devoted to it.

I have the same problem: after completing a run in TSW7, I get the same error message when the programme returns to the main menu. I reported this in https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ce-100028-1-error-on-tsw7.99443/. I'm currently at level 800+ and I don’t want to start over.

I wasn’t aware that this problem had been around for a while. This probably also explains why I previously lost my progress in TSW6 due to a corrupt save file. I lost half a year of progress.

I still had a faint hope that it would be better in TSW7. It isn’t.

Up to TSW5 I bought all the DLCs. I stopped doing that, due to the existing problems (blurry textures, save game corruption, …) and no trophies with the DLCs, it’s simply not as fun anymore for me.

 

Same problem. Lvl 1474 sitting there and literally if I do one more service the file corrupts (had to turn of syncing on PS5 to keep save from day earlier alive)

Importing to TSW7 doesn't change things as corrupted straight away after one service.

One thing I think we can rule out is save game size. Created a new character on same file bloating the size further but seems to be happy thus far

 

Same here as well.
I was at level 792, when the CE-100028-1 error when playing the Pick Up Line scenario as part of Diesel Legends of the Great Western Pack.
Don’t think its anything to do with storage as I have over 100gb left on my PlayStation.

Any news on the CE-100028-1 issue on PS?
I haven’t touched the game since mid December and was curious if a fix for profile corruption is coming in the near future.

Hello DTG i know no one of you is itressted in but your bug sim world is broken every time i start a service my PS5 has an error ( like in the picture ) i cant play somthing im so happy i didnt pay for this. And no its not a PS Problem because i can play everything but not TSW

Same issue for me - profile file corruption.
PS5 pro. All DLCs owned and installed. 533lvl.
Happened already twice in TSW7.
First time: a couple of day after first launch. Only thing I was able to do - imporing the old profile from TSW6.
Second time - today. Tried to restore TSW7 profile from the cloud but no success. I had to restore the old TSW6 profile from cloud and imported to TSW7.

 

You'd probably better to rename the topic to "Profile Save Issue When Starting Tsw6/TSW7".

I'm just shy of level 1,700. For the third time. I've put in two tracks in support, and Chris has come back and said that it's a priority and they want to get it right. What they haven't said is when it will become available. Will it be this year? Unlikely. Next year? I hope so, but there's no way of knowing.

What did annoy me rather was having the track closed and flagged Solved. Nope - if it were solved, there would be a solution.

I paid $NZ210 last month for TSW7 and I can't use it. I disagree with the previous poster - DTG doesn't hate its players. I appreciate that it's complicated, it is in part at least a fault of Sony's, and they are working hard on it - but it would've been better to have delayed TSW 7 until a fix was available (retrofittable to previous versions). I would've been more understanding and less upset.

 

Palworld had the same issue at launch and it's devs solved it quickly. This is a PS5 issue, but it can be solved. DTG just don't think it's importantl enough to bother with

 

Besides voting with our wallets, is there anything else we end users can do so that they get with the program and fix this/these issues (#1 not able to import above aprox 1k into TSW6/TSW7. #2 And OP's Post)?

Only vote with wallets. DTG have spent years ignoring issues. I 100% guarantee that if they could charge for fixes, the major bugs would have been fixed years ago

 

i just rewatched the roadmap stream and they did mention this issue.
Basically this issue was prioritised for this week’s patch but they held it back because it needed more work on it. Alex also mentions that the fix for this issue is currently being tested with the team now.

I think what was missing was some idea of when it was going to be implemented. If it's November, as they're suggesting, I can cope with that.
