Even in TSW 7 with half of the layers off this is a blurry mess on xbox series x.

It’s really bad on ps5 too, it’s like it’s been an issue since forever and nothings being done to address it. And it’s the only route I get blurry textures on. That and WCML south

Travelling from Milton Keynes to Crewe on WCML with reduced timetable. Driving 390 AWC.

Am using Xbox Series X with TSW7 and as a LOT of people have previously mentioned here on this thread, the game is constantly crashing. I've reduced the settings to HD and removed layers, but still as I get to Rugby, the game just crashes without any notice at all and I get the 'out of memory' notice!
    • I've cleared cache on XBox.
    • Have changed settings to HD and removed layers
As Dovetail suggest online and in this thread, but none of that has any effect. As highlighted by member of Dovetail Staff in this thread, there seems to be a 'Core Game Issue' which was being looked into for a fix.
My question is - When will this be fixed?

From going through this thread, this is happening on XBox Series X, PS5 and Desktop, but nothing seems to be done about it.

Can someone from Dovetail please advise what is happening in relation to this, as there are a LOT of people saying exactly the same as I have re crashing. Also when the game finally resumes after booting up again, the game appearance is very blurry.

Come on Dovetail - please update us.
    Thanks in anticipation

Has anyone else has issues with the 350-4 pantograph? Trying to use the train for a new scenario and the pantograph won’t raise.

I either didn't have my settings maxed out or TSW 7 reset them from what they were with 6. This looks route looks great visually. I am going to re-visit some others and see if they look better.

If have asked already then I apologise. Why do 807 never stop anywhere in between crewe and Milton Keynes. Thanks.

The AI Conductor on 350 units seems to open everything including the cab doors but is unable to close said cab doors.

I’ve not tried a 390 operated service on TSW7 but I see there’s no reply to the issues raised above.

Nice to see some updates today for the route, but would be even nicer to see the approach control signalling at Rugby and Stafford mentioned above sorted. Understandably would take a lot of work, I'm sure.

Following yesterday’s optimisation patch I braved the full timetable on Series X (I’ve been sticking to Reduced as that actually works on the whole).

Ran a 70 through Nuneaton which is usually a choke point for blurry textures and frame rate drops on the full timetable but ran great - smooth and the briefest of blurry textures which very quickly corrected itself.

However I then tried to start an 807 service from Crewe and as ever it just instantly came up with the Out Of Memory error and crashed to dashboard.

So from my minimal testing, some notable improvements but Crewe is still an issue.

Driving the 70 last night, doesn’t look like they’ve fixed that short stretch showing at 30 MPH on the Up Slow at Nuneaton North.

very disappointed as there’s no sign of any improvement; blurry textures all the way from stafford to milton keynes despite only having 14 layers active. and the lighting in the stowe hill tunnel has been broken

I'm getting definite 1970s Doctor Who title sequence vibes from that screenshot!

Just did a full timetable run south from Crewe in the Pendo and ran perfect - no crashes or blurries. Think the 807 may be the issue here.

The Pendo has never blurred in my experience. The big culprits on the WCML routes are the 350 and 807

I've found, by switching motion blur off, volumetric fog off, and in Xbox settings (depending on your screen) I've turned off 4K and HDR, and set my bit rate to 24 bits. And I'll tell you, only disabling the AI layers (323, 170's) and the 220, the route is absolutely fantastic for me!

I'm not sacrificing clarity. I have HDR off on ps5, and HD setting makes the game look like a 480p video on YouTube

Not HD on the game, keep that at 4k & turn off allow 4k on Xbox and set your resolution to the best your screen allows. Honestly, I've got my resolution at 1440p at 120hz, with no 4k, HDR10 or Dolby Vision on, and it runs a treat.

PS5 only allows you to set the screen to 1440p if you have a 1440p display, not a 4k one. Weird I know. And 1080p on a 55" 4K display is horrible. I hate soft looking images. I couldn't play 2019s GRID until I got a PS5 because it was so soft looking
