At the Brocken Bahn 2, waiting times at the stations are not displayed. The waiting time does not start running. If one then proceeds, I get the message: "Weren't you supposed to let passengers board?" There is a flaw here in this otherwise beautiful game. J. Blokhuis.

Haven't heard about this route, is it some 3rd party content?
The issue you describe is of two parts:
    • Some platforms are finicky. If you have the time, try to position your train at various points and try loading the passengers again.
    • If you don't load the passengers, it's a missed objective. You can carry on with the scenario regardless and finish it, aside from it registering. So in your head you can be fine with it.
As far as we know, TSC is legacy, not just classic. We may receive the odd updates in the future, but there is no real content crew at DTG anymore. Don't expect anything. (There has been an attempt at revitalising the game and it did work but ran into some issues.)

Hello, thank you all for the answers. I had already thought of the suggestion triznya.andras made. I bought the Brocken via the TSC website, so I should be able to assume everything is correct. Apparently not. If there are no more updates from TSC, why is it still on the market?

And then for mindenjohn#8353 and Måns Johannesson, do these Adons work on TSC?

Thanks everyone for thinking along. Coos from the Netherlands.

Oh, yes, and the routes that mindenjohn#8353 and Måns Johannesson mentioned, do they work on TSC?

    Thanks again, Coos.

    It's mostly - and I mean like 99% - fine.
The issue you describe is referred to as Content Error. It's not the game, it's the route.
The VR website version should definitely work, it's usually the basis for the Steam offering (which uses fewer assets, usually trains) and it may also have updates since the Steam conversion.

When I was new I did care a lot about details and perfection but after a year or two I shifted into enjoy-fun mode and simply explore content.
One of 2011's most revered titles, Skyrim, had so many bugs, I was constantly searching for fix scripts.

Existing players can still pick up DLC while new players can hear about it, or simply opt in because it's small. There is also the subscription version which offers a variety of content over any current version of TSW (TSC DLC was also 30€ each, easy 40 today with inflation).

Many routes are opinionated. There are great routes out there that only a few people play while I enjoyed several routes that have seen public shame (Black Forest Journeys, for example). So there is no need to retire the game as long as it works.

The two reasons for withdrawal have been 3rd party developer's request and licensing. The latter is why old games like F1 2012-2015 or GT titles are not available - they cannot sell certain brands anymore. Virgin Trains is one such example here.

Do you have the European Loco and Asset pack installed? https://store.steampowered.com/app/208300/Train_Simulator_European_Loco__Asset_Pack/

I have the Classic game, and indeed, there is no mention of that European pack anywhere. Everything else looks good, though; the only thing missing is the countdown for the waiting times at the platform. Regards, Coos.

People were having issues with the first scenario, and when they got the European Loco and Asset pack installed, the issue disappeared.

Which is strange as it is not a requirement as the EL&AP does not have anything narrow gauge
