Well they need to be addressing their customers on the forum too, who have no interest in using Discord.

Sorry, but AABS can’t expect all TSW users to use Discord as well.
There’s a feedback thread for their DLC here, so as a TSW user, one can also expect AABS to post here and say something about it.

I have to be honest and say I bought this pack more for the new MML timetable and added gameplay rather than the driving the loco itself.

The MML timetable speaks for itself, and adds so much gameplay and new variety to a “forgotten” route.

However, I had a run on WCML Trent Valley in the Class 70, not usually one for driving freight, it’s UK passenger usually for me. But I was very impressed, on what is an already busy route adding this in while the busy passenger services race by you is an incredible feeling.

The appearance and sounds of the 70 is one of the best applied in TSW, I didn’t see a major issue with the physics, I powered up to notch 3/4 to get moving, although a minimum reduction in braking before releasing loses around 10-15 mph which I’m not too sure on as others have commented.

The flickering headlight was only an issue when I zoomed right in (I done a night run) I wouldn’t have noticed it, if 1) it wasn’t on that stream and 2) I went looking for it in the first place.

A really solid addition to TSW in my opinion, 8/10.

Let me take a look at the thread on Discord. Oh wait, no threads, just disparate chitchat from random people. Now how is that a useful support tool?

I can’t believe this has the same stupid issue the Class 66 has; the brakes are far too harsh. How are you supposed to drive this? The completely borked physics on the aforementioned 66 are the reason I don’t touch the thing, but now this is the same…

Are we just not allowed a decent UK freight loco?

Granted. Unlike some servers, with the Dovetail Discord there is some structure to certain channels which is to be commended, but TSW-Discussion is chaos to my eyes.

Looking at some images posted online am I right in thinking Livery Designer creations have the numbers auto populate so you can’t number the locos yourself?

How many playable services does the XC 170 add to the new Class 70 timetable on MML? Are they all just between Nottingham and Derby?

It adds 85 services between Nottingham and derby. Some ECS moves to Leicester from Nottingham and derby.

Its a shame, I can look past the visual inaccuracies but I find it barely playable, the issues with the brakes on most trains and the severe lack of power just make it too unenjoyable. I hope AABS can quickly knock out a patch which fixes both issues, which I suspect is probably just a decimal point out of place in two equations and that DTG can rubber stamp it and send it through (which is ironic because DTG rubber stamp DLC but seem to sit on patches for upwards of 5 months...)

It's weird, sometimes I can do a run in it and have no problems and other times I can barely make it move. There's definitely something up with the brakes as the air flow meter is constantly up and down when it should be 0 if you're not adjusting the brakes. The main pressure always seems to be a different value too.

On the whole though I'm still enjoying it, I just hope it will be an easy and quick fix

I agree with you with all those points but as someone who likes to create liveries I'd also add the Livery Designer numbering issue to the reasons putting me off buying it.

And still no statement from AABS or DTG on their behalf if they’re not prepared to post on the forum, as to whether they feel any or all of the concerns are regarded as valid criticism (and what they are doing about it). Or have they decided to go down the Rivet road of extreme “fire and forget”? If the latter is indeed the case, then they can pretty much forget some of us buying anything else they release.

I'm surprised nobody has had the decency to acknowledge the problems the paying customers have found . And said yeah we are aware and we're on. Just leaves a sour taste when no one gives a hoot they got me money and thats it.

I was all set to treat myself and purchase the Trent Valley route and 805 pack to go with the new 70 so they've lost all three sales from me.

I see it exactly the same way.
If AABS doesn’t respond to this DLC and show that they take these problems seriously, it won’t go well for AABS.

Because AABS has already released more than one DLC that still has problems today, but apparently AABS doesn’t want to fix those problems.
So AABS should be sure that if they continue like this, there won’t be many users left who will buy their next DLCs as soon as they are released.

And if you don’t sell anything or fix problems, you’ll end up like Rivet Games.

Is this going to be another repeat of the 90?! I purchased this and am on my second run and am already fed up of driving it with the issues it has. It beggars belief that DLC after DLC is released with issue after issue! Never-mind, another preview later to distract us and forget!
