The London Overground Mildmay line is getting bigger on October 22nd.

The upcoming Richmond Extension expands Train Sim World 7: London Overground Mildmay line: Stratford - Willesden Junction Route Add-On, taking services beyond Willesden Junction and all the way to Richmond.

Better still, the extension will arrive as a FREE update for everyone who already owns the Mildmay line Add-On, adding five new stations, an expanded timetable and a range of new features and improvements.

With the route expanding on October 22nd, its price will also increase to £29.99 / €35.99 / $39.99.

However, if you've been thinking about picking up the Mildmay line, you can still purchase it at its current price ahead of October 22nd and you'll receive the Richmond Extension at no additional cost when it releases.

    Go Beyond Willesden Junction
The original Mildmay line Add-On recreated the busy London Overground corridor between Stratford and Willesden Junction, putting players behind the controls of the BR Class 378/2 Capitalstar.

From October 22nd, the journey continues west from Willesden Junction towards Richmond, extending the route by around 5 miles and introducing five new stations along the way:
    • Acton Central
    • South Acton
    • Gunnersbury
    • Kew Gardens
    • Richmond
The extension takes the route further through West London, from the railway landscape around Acton to the banks of the River Thames and the busy terminus at Richmond.

    Five New Stations
Each of the five new stations extends the Mildmay line further towards its new western terminus.

    Acton Central
Shortly after leaving Willesden Junction, services reach Acton Central.

This section also introduces one of the extension's most interesting operational elements, with the Class 378 transitioning from 25 kV AC overhead power to 750 V DC third rail as services continue towards Richmond.

    South Acton
Continue through West London to South Acton, another stop along the busy urban section of the route.

    Gunnersbury
At Gunnersbury, London Overground services share the railway with the London Underground District line, bringing another railway operation into the expanded route.

Compatible Add-Ons can also unlock additional gameplay here, including playable District line services.

    Kew Gardens
Next comes Kew Gardens, with the route taking on a greener feel as services approach and cross the River Thames.

    Richmond
Finally, arrive at Richmond, the new western terminus for Mildmay line services.

The expanded station environment also creates opportunities for additional traffic from compatible Train Sim World Add-Ons, helping make this end of the route feel even busier.

More Than Just Five New Stations
The Richmond Extension isn't simply adding more track.

A range of new features and improvements are also being introduced as part of the update.

    In-Cab CCTV Screens
One of the standout additions is the introduction of working in-cab CCTV screens for the Class 378.

Players using the more advanced simulation settings will be able to monitor the platform directly from the cab, adding another authentic element to station stops and departure procedures.

    Audible Announcements
The expanded Mildmay line experience also introduces audible passenger announcements, adding another layer of atmosphere as you work passenger services across the route.

    An Expanded Class 378 Experience
The Class 378 remains at the heart of the Mildmay line, now with a longer route and additional features to make use of across the journey to Richmond.

    More Trains, More Gameplay
Own other Train Sim World Add-Ons? Compatible content from your collection can also add further gameplay to the Richmond Extension.

    Class 710
Owners of London Overground Suffragette line will be able to bring the BR Class 710 onto the expanded Mildmay line.

Playable Class 710 services are included within the timetable, giving you another London Overground unit to operate alongside the Class 378.

    District line Services
Compatible Add-Ons can also unlock playable District line services between Richmond and Gunnersbury.

This introduces another way to experience the new section of railway, sharing the tracks with London Overground services along part of the extension.

    More Traffic Around the Network
Additional compatible content will also help populate the railway where the Mildmay line interacts with other parts of London's network.

Expect further AI traffic at key interchange points, adding more movement and variety around the expanded route.

    An Expanded Timetable
Extending the railway to Richmond also means an expanded timetable.

Core Class 378 services will now continue beyond Willesden Junction through the five new stations to Richmond, creating longer end-to-end journeys across the Mildmay line.

Compatible Add-Ons can introduce further London Overground, London Underground and mainline traffic, giving players more variety both behind the controls and around the railway.

    Free for Existing Owners
Already own Train Sim World 7: London Overground Mildmay line: Stratford - Willesden Junction Route Add-On?

The Richmond Extension will be added to your route as a FREE update on October 22nd.

There's nothing extra to purchase. Existing owners will receive the extension to Richmond alongside the new stations, expanded timetable and additional improvements included with the update.

With the Mildmay line becoming a larger route, the price for new purchases will change from £24.99 to £29.99 / €35.99 / $39.99 when the extension releases.

If you don't own the route yet, you can still pick it up at its current £24.99 price before October 22nd and receive the full Richmond Extension for free when it launches.

In short: pick up the Mildmay line before October 22nd at the current price, and you'll still receive all of the new Richmond content when it arrives.

    Arriving October 22nd
Your London Overground journeys are about to get longer.

The Mildmay line Richmond Extension arrives October 22nd, adding five new stations, an expanded timetable, new Class 378 features and additional gameplay opportunities across West London.

Existing Mildmay line owners will receive the extension as a FREE update, while first-time buyers can still purchase the route at its current £24.99 price ahead of release.

From October 22nd, the complete expanded route will be available for £29.99 / €35.99 / $39.99.

We'll have more to share ahead of release, including a closer look at the extension in action.

    See you at Richmond!

No, sorry, my mistake – in English it says 22 October, but when I have the forum pages translated into German, it says 2 October.

Nothing announced, so assume not. Given that Clapham Junction would need a complete rebuild as it's on a TOD3 route, my guess is that Mildmay will only ever be extended to Clapham Junction once BML is ever remastered.

There’s absolutely nothing left for TSW 6 from DTG or anyone else – no updates and no new DLCs.

If you want to drive the tracks that are now being released for TSW 7, you can get the free TSW 7 Starter Pack.

That's an issue you need to take up with DTG, not the ambassadors as it was DTG who banned them from previewing content on console before release due to it not being as easily updated as pc. Personally I didn't have an issue with the ambassadors not having the latest build because most of the bugs in the builds they had were still there at release anyway.

There will be ambassadors showing it on console but perhaps not before release. I usually watch The British Ace for PS5 stuff. He uses a PS5 Pro but it’s not going to be much different to my standard PS5. I’m not bothered by waiting a few days longer to see new releases on console after watching the DTG previews on PC.
I’m currently downloading the Free Starter Pack of TSW7 in anticipation of this extension releasing. Gotta get my free upgrade. I’ll start with downloading just the UK stuff for this and the layers and use it as my test for how good or not TSW7 actually is. Depending on how I get on with the controllers, it might be that I only use TSW7 for playing Mildmay but I’ll be ready for any other improvements that come along for older content. If it’s painless enough and I’m not blinded by the UI, I’ll start using TSW7 for everything. I’m going to have to at some point.

Would any XBoxers be happy sharing their thoughts regarding how the current version of this route plays for you please? I am yet to purchase this route and just weighing up getting it a lower price ahead of the extension.

Thanks! I am tempted as it feels like an end to end run is now possible, but I have reservations as I know the developer is doing a good job of cramming stuff in. Important to acknowledge the optimisation work also being done too, although I don't know if it's like to be well tested on consoles. I am very much a wait and see buyer these days, but this one's a little different. Thanks for sharing!

I literally just bought it and 5 mins after loading in the blur was going in and out then 4 stops in its full blurry mess. ill probably just turn off all the layers but it really puts more off purchasing anymore content. Ive been passing on alot of purchases and reaching my limit on this stuff.

Most or all of the blurry problems should go away with the update. One of the things with this route has been that no updates could be released while it was being extended so all the fixes for stuff like that will be in the update that extends the route. Hopefully it works.
