    Hi all,

Is anyone else finding that the All Aboard Studios / AABS routes wreak havoc with TSW7's AI conductor mode? In particular doors either closing too soon or not closing at all? On Birmingham - Crewe it looks like it's related to the bizarre use of two consecutive "load passengers" instructions at every station stop, instead of just configuring the first instruction properly. I'm curious to know if anyone's got the same issue with Trent Valley (which I don't own) and if this route also uses double instructions.

As far as I can tell this "feature" of two consecutive instructions serves no purpose. What it does do is very often lead you to closing the doors too soon if you forget there's the second instruction, then having to reopen and close them again in order to complete the second "load" instruction. Most of the time this leads you to missing your departure time since the instruction lasts about 5 seconds but the whole door open / close procedure takes about 20.

I suspect fixing this would require them to redo the entire timetable for each route, so are we forever stuck with a feature that won't work on their routes?

    JB

It actually works very well, once you know why, and I’m pretty certain it’s to prevent the close doors on a red issue.

Never had an issue with it on any of AABS routes and DTG’s own DLC’s that also has it implementedx I understand the purpose and prefer that infinitely over inaccurately closing doors on a red.

Could you please elaborate? In what way is the AI conductor getting confused and preventing you from departing until you reopen and reclose the doors an indication of the feature working "very well"?

The AI conductor closes the doors at the end of the first "stop at" instruction, so the doors close on red regardless since the signal only turns green once that first instruction is completed. Having to reopen and reclose the doors on green is not particularly accurate either. Same hassle in manual operation mode if you forget that you're on a route with double stop-at instructions (I haven't noticed this on any DTG routes? Which ones?). I'd much rather close the doors according to the scheduled departure time than have an immersion-ruining workaround that leads you to closing the doors a few seconds too soon and having to reopen them.

If that's the reason the double instructions were implemented, it's a bit of a shame as now we have a non-standard workaround interfering with a new feature.
