Some strange LOD issues with the bodyside detailing.

Hi, I do think that selecting the goods mode on the brakes should help with the unrealistic brakes physics. I couldn't find it at first but it's on the back wall of the cab near the tpws temp isolation. The incorrect amps is still definitely an issue since some services are impossible.

I also found a really shitty "solution" for the 6D37 service from Rylestone to Doncaster, which was to let the 2100 ton train roll back as far as I could to the buffer stops at the back, then start from there in notch 8 to gain momentum on the line before it got steep, but I did have to break the speed limit and contact the signaller while moving instead of stopping at the sign. So obviously this isn't really realistic I guess.

Why do AMPS keep going up and down really quick. In notch 8 can't get above 40 on trent valley in the snow really struggling.

Sat at the Home starter at Bromsgrove with a rake of HKA:
    Class 70 x1
    17 HKA Wagons
    Total 1746.8t

Train in Notch 8 rolls slowly backwards, its impossible to get the train moving with a Class 70.
Changing to a Class 66 pulled away in Notch 3.

Of Note, the 66 made it to milepost 55 before running out of juice!

PC: Made some liveries in livery designer, unable to select them when loading into timetable mode. They do not appear. Engine not also does not change when moving the reverser into forwards from neutral, as it should do in reality.

I hadn't noticed the previously mentioned modelling errors on the class 70, other than the ploughs being too far back from the buffers.

But what caught my eye was the locomotive's silhouette (or roof profile if you like). If you look at an actual 70's roof you will notice distinct steps (or lack thereof) in the height of the units roof lines (green arrows)...

    class 70 #2.jpg

Unfortunately AABS's version of the class 70 (in my opinion) has these steps reversed, as you can see in the image below (yellow arrows)...
    TSW class70.jpg

I understand this is a complicated loco to model but, some things once you spot them can't go unseen and disappointingly spoils the immersion. If this can be fixed at all I have included a few more images below that show the steps in roof line more clearly...

BTW, thanks to All Aboard for the fixes to their previous routes etc, I have really enjoyed their DLC's and I only want the class 70 to also reach that standard. :)

    As played on Series X:

As others have noted, the alerter loses its sound if you load a saved game.

Also as noted, the headlights give off light but do not always appear to be on. This was the worst on GWE, with flickering noted on WCML South, although they seemed to work better on Airedale. When working, they appear to have a more dazzling/brighter effect than most other locos in TSW.

There is persistent z-fighting for the text on the left wiper knob, somewhat less on the right wiper knob.

The "MU Engine Emergency Shutdown" sticker above the driver's head persistently flickers.

What perspective is meant to be shown from the headlight diagram above the driver's head? It appears to be a head-on perspective, but shows that status of the lights from the driver's perspective. Not sure which is correct here.

The slow speed effort is questionable. I was able to complete Airedale 6M22 part 1, but only because I was aware that others could not, so was in notch 8 early. Even then I was crawling at 6 mph at the top. The 66 that comes with Airedale was able to make the climb in a much easier fashion.

The 70 is fun to drive at speed with its wide windscreen and has some nice details. While it is a welcome change from the 66 it also clearly needs some work. Unfortunately even if it gets some fixes we know that DTG sits on third party partches for months, so perhaps better to wait for this one unless you really want the wagons or updated timetable.

Don’t think I’ve noticed it mentioned but it’s yet another instance of permanent numbers in the LD model!!!!!

So no way of creating a livery of a specific loco……. YET AGAIN.

Wasn’t aware that anything I posted in here was not somehow feedback. Perhaps instead of managing the criticism, you should be dragging AABS in here to explain how they could mess this up so badly and what they intend to do about it?

    PC Steam:
Enjoying it so far. The audio is really good. A few things I have noticed:

    1. DVD/Alerter always has to be enabled manually despite having it set to default to on in the settings.
    2. Intermittent flickering headlights
    3. The 'Safety Systems' tutorial has a double yellow that the loco treats as a green (ding instead of warning tone etc). Concerning in a tutorial on safety systems! ;) It may just be specific to this tutorial or signal as I have not noticed it happening anywhere else.
    4. The XC 170 in the Midland Mainline Timetable does not recognise AWS that is defaulted to on in the menu unless you reset the reverser that starts in the forward position. Having the reverser start in the neutral position might be a solution to this.

To me, the colours on the MLA look wrong.
Also the bogies look weird, and the buffers look to be strangely extended.

Happy to be told otherwise, but I thought the bogies were of this design.

The same happens on Xbox Series X. You have start a new game and set up the Vigilance from start again, as without doing this, no audio is heard and the loco will stop. Very annoying

I'm refund this DLC, the 3D model of the Class70 is for me too far off, I don't understand how to even made it possible to create a model like this with al the photo's on the internet. I also don't think it will be updated in the near future.
