Norfolk Southern in the Lehigh Valley would be a great freight route to add in. The Reading line would start at Allentown, Pennsylvania and ends in reading, Pennsylvania. The Lehigh Line would run from maybe Easton through Bethlehem and Allentown up to Buffalo, New York. The line obviously won’t go all the way up to Buffalo so they could end it at Lehighton or somewhere a bit more north. Allentown has a bustling yard where many locals are based out of. Bethlehem also has a long yard that interchanges with the PBNE. This is just a small intermodal railroad. The reading line ends at the Allentown yard and the Lehigh line takes over crossing the Lehigh River into Bethlehem. The Lehigh Line actually runs on the other side of the river past the yard connecting to the Reading line to allow intermodals and high priority trains bypass the yard. On the East side of Allentown yard is the Cement secondary with is a branch line operated by NS that goes north to supply cement company’s. On the west end of Allentown yard the Lehigh Line splits off and goes north to Buffalo while the reading line continues west towards reading. In Alburtis is the connection to NS operated C&F secondary (This could actually be its own route as well as the cement secondary). This would be a Great map to include. It had Fast freight, locals, trains that stop in the yard, etc. There are opportunities for yard switching. To get a better idea of the route, look at google maps(it’s kinda hard to explain). It would be nice if you included some NS heritage units(Hint hint NS 8104 Lehigh Valley Railroad heritage Unit). Please consider this route it has a ton of potential.

Yes I agree we need more modern American freight routes not like many past failures with short af routes (achoo Oakville Sub blows nose):)

The Oakville was definitely better than the short CSX line in NEC Route

At the very least yes, but if DTG ever created this authentically, then it will def be better than Oakville:)

Love this idea. Personal bias given where my home is would lead me to prefer the Lehigh Line to the east of Bethlehem, through Easton and Phillipsburg on the way to Newark. Running in that direction would also have the added advantage of using the shared asset operations east of Manville with traffic from CSX as well. Would love to see that happen in the future.
