Well I don't think many would be surprised if a new route didn't use at least one existing piece of stock, I doubt you will see many new routes with two of three new items of stock, it adds to the overheads of creating a route, business do cost things! That still leaves a lot of scope and I suspect there will be one new piece of stock either a loco or multiple unit at least!

If it is a modern route then it will likely be GWR or Southern as they obviously have their licences.

I wouldn't rule out (and hope for) another BR period route. Looking at the stock released so far on the BR blue routes, it wouldn't have to be a northern route it could be almost anywhere in the UK, the class 101's were widespread as were the 31 and 47 and the Peaks could be seen in the North, the Midlands, North Wales and the South West.

On the other hand, a reused train would add some variability to the route, if it comes as an extra layer (see German routes) and not as a baseline.

Apart from the HST and 166 what would run or be serviced between Reading and Oxford? 26 miles would fall in line with the sort of route seen so far.

Cross Country Voyager. I suppose the 165 too.

Unless it was an extension I can't say I would be too thrilled about the Reading to Oxford route, it isn't that interesting really.

Yes it would, I think most new routes will have some reused items either as the package or as extra layers. Unlikely I would think, will we see many new routes with say three completely new items of motive power.

If they added the Riviera Line with a good variety of rolling stock, i'd be a happy man.

Me too, any era really. But I would be most happy with a Hall, Castle, Prairie and an Autotank for the Brixham branch!

Something completely out of the blue perhaps. Any diesel resident on WSR not in TSW? Class 35 perhaps.

Ooo interesting, It would be great to see a LIRR dlc. Not sure what we can possibly get though, is there anyone out there’s who knows LIRR in detail?

Would be nice to see some freight action with the GP38-2 at LIRR like in real. But I expect an M3 addon. Because a lot of TSW fans asked for. If it will be both, it would be perfect for me.

Looks an interesting loco. Looks like they use double decker cabs, similar to Cal Train...?

But don’t forget: DTG recently got a third party to create its next dlc, it doesn’t mean DTG‘s next route will be from them;)

I wonder if it’ll be another third party group that’s going to release a North American route.

Hmm, good idea! And if that’s true, then we’ll see more better, longer routes than what DTG has created (or, recently, created, cough OSD cough);)

Well there could be a couple more locos released before the next route, maybe even more third party content.

I would imagine the next route won't be too far away, I had thought May but I would have thought June at the latest. Hopefully there will be a couple more items of stock, I am still waiting for that Pacer for TVL!

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that we're going to be getting an M3. The TS2020 version of the MNR / New Haven Line M2 already exists and was offered as a DLC in February - fantastic model, btw. Given the similarities between the MNR M2 and LIRR M1/M3, along with the fact that DTG has cross-platformed routes and trains before (see Peninsula Corridor to TSW, MNR M7A to TS2020), I don't think it's too far of a stretch to assume that this is on it's way.

The M2s were made by a third-party developer, and DTG would have to get the necessary permissions from the author, Reppo, before doing anything to it. He has worked with DTG in the past, and it may be possible that it will be another third-party addon like the 204, but it remains to be seen. All the Peninsula Corridor stuff was custom-built for the TSW version, and I don't think there's any TS1 models in it. The M7 conversion was done by Reppo, so perhaps that's an indication of some kind of partnership? I know Rivet Games was formerly part of the DTG office in Scotland, so there may be some connection between DTG and third parties they've worked closely with in the past getting to develop stuff now.

Think you've summed it up for me completey Just purchased the BR204. Refunded 30 mins for the rather odd physics, first scenario broken, and like 6 services. Shame because that branch on the MSB is actually rather pleasent.

But yh, I'm done. Holla me if something interesting comes up... or if someone makes a real uk train sim for unigine :)

Good to know that other people are seeing those physics. They seem off for some reason, like the loco is weightless. Might also be the lack of friction and weight to the wagons.Of course, this is the first true dlc made solely by a 3rd party dev. Things will probably improve as time goes. Simugraph is quite a beast under the hood. Give em’ some time to learn ;). Cheers

Sorry to be negative, but this sim is over 3 years old now. Exactly how much time do they get?

Just fired up a spring service on ECW and had forgotten I’d removed the eyeadaption hack from my engine.ini file. The bloom was so bright and off-putting I couldn’t finish it the service. It’s actually painful to look at it. As always, sadly, i’ve turned it off and come back to TS2020. It’s just better, even with all of its problems.

It just doesn’t feel like this game is taking any steps forward. Yes there is DLC coming out, but they’ve all got the same old issues. Is this ever going to change? How much time is enough?

I have completed all the scenarios for this particular DLC. They have all worked fine.
My only gripe would be the 4KMH piece of track in the storage sidings at the Hafen, which seems a bit incongruous when compared to the adjoining speed limits. Still, it is something to keep your wits about you when driving.

Thats just a bug.. someone missed a 0 when filling in the properties, but thats a problem with the route, not the DLC..

I think we should be prepared for the possibility that DLC 26 will be... an LIRR MP15.

Given the small number of scenarios that really should have been caught and fixed when preparing the loco for release. Even if it's ultimately a problem with the route.

    That's certainly a colour-scheme...

Well it would need something to pull and push since the existing rolling stock can move on its own.

Or it could be the DM30AC’s locomotive for Dlc 26.

Lots of possibilities: MOW equipment, disabled trains, stranded trains when power is lost, etc.

Of course the M2 and DM30AC are superior contenders, but, ahem, Dovetail already has an MP15 model - so I'll be a little cheeky about my expectations. :)

What about the M3 or the DM30AC’s Locomotive for the Lirr on TSW because I remember they were building up a library of references for the dual mode diesel locomotive.

I'd be cool with an LIRR MP15, but i'm really hoping if they go back to LIRR after all this time they release a more substantial package akin to the BR Heavy Freight pack. How about: 1 new loco (M3?), 1 reused (GP38/MP15), and some additional rolling stock (preferably at least 1 new that could also be used on the other NA routes)? With NEW services for both locos, not just substitutions?

I mean i can dream, right?

I really doubt that. We couldn't even get MOW cars or the caboose with the Caltrain switcher nor a Union Pacific reskin, and they wouldn't even give us RSN's freight cars which would be industry appropriate for MSB with the 204. Seems like DTG is locked in on only giving one train per DLC now. The BR Freight Pack and the Amtrak switcher and the great value included with both of those DLCs, look to be a thing of the past I'm afraid.

The BR heavy freight pack also featured a class 08, already part of TVL previously, minus the Thornaby decals. Can see (hope) more freight pack type dlcs, if these kind of situations arise.
