Interesting that you mention Brightline. It has so much potential as a high-speed route for TSW. Something I'll like to add, Brightline (Virgin Trains USA) has some new stations being added. - West Palm Beach - Boca Raton - Fort Lauderdale - Aventra - Virgin Miamicentral. Splitting away prior to Virgin Miamicentral. - PortMiami This could increase and see more flexibility in what services we can drive. These new stations can add a little bit more for the driver to do.
Yes I would like to see an American high speed rail route, as for freight trains I do love the idea, and DTG might wanna add the ES44C4 with the LNG tank car as well as a GP40-2 for switching and locals!
One question can someone remind me if Amtrak also runs down the line I haven’t done that much research on the route?
Nope, there are two seperate mainlines between Miami and West Palm Beach- the one with CSX freight, Amtrak trains, and Tri-rail commuter trains is the OTHER one. That one has been modeled in Train Simulator before. I think this would be a good route idea because it would show the same area of the country as we've seen in the TS1 route, but with a different route and different operators. I could easily see an SCB-40, ES44C4, and GP38-2 coming with this route... it's a reasonable length... and yeah, it wouldn't even be a really good route compared to the other mainline here even a few short years ago! I also agree that maybe it should wait a year or so for more stations to open, though... passenger service with 3 stations is kinda... meh. And licensing will be tricky, of course- worth boting that although Brightline (I will alsways automatically call it that, sorry lol) is Virgin Trains USA, it's still a distinct company from other Virgin endeavors, and so the licensing for it can't be compared with the Virgin Trains UK routes. And FEC might be hard to get a license from.
Ok thanks! If DTG can’t make the route due to the license, maybe a third party will step up and make it? Unbranded at least, but I would love to see this one in TSW!
Eh, well, we don't *know* if they can get the license or not, it's just a potential problem. I agree, it would be a great route!
