It seems that the vast majority are of the concensus of wanting a new route along the South Western Mainline with many sections to choose from as well as various classes of motive power. This would make a great new addition to the UK selection of routes.
Read through the threads and you'll see that various portions of this route keep being mentioned. There is still so much of the UK network both former and current still to cover that the possibilities are endless.
