Hi, ever since I reinstalled the game after not playing it since 2018, I have been completely unable to use the consist editor designed to create consists for trainsets. It begins loading and then crashes within a few seconds after reaching 100% with an out of memory being displayed.

I was told by a user on another forum that the consist editor has been broken for some time and that DTG hasn't found a fix for it yet. Can someone confirm or infirm this? Also, what can I do to fix this issue myself if this is not a widespread problem that everyone has? I tried clearing my cache just in case but to no avail.

Here are my computer specs, just so that I don't have anyone try to argue that this is a graphics card issue because it clearly isn't.

    Ultra Gamer AMD 5 3600X-2060
    Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x (6 x 3,8 GHz)
    CPU Cooler: AMD Boxed
    RAM: 16 GB DD4R 2666 MHz/ Max. 64 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060/ 6 GB GDDR6
    SSD: 1 TB Intel/ NVMe M.2
Adapter: Cooler Master 600 Watt (80 PLUS)

I have also lowered my game settings although as far as I know they are not impacting the consist editor anyways. Again, to no avail

It does not matter what your computer specs are.

If you have third party items in your game and one of those is not configured correctly it can cause the game to crash.

How do I verify that though? I cleared my cache several times, even reinstalled the game to no avail. The game rarely crashes, only the consist editor constantly crashes.

Just because you have cleared your cache does not correct errors in files

The bin file for each loco/wagon/coach specifies what type it is. Diesel/Electric/Steam/Wagon/Coach
Sometimes that information is input incorrectly by the builder of that vehicle
And because the Consist Editor sorts the vehicles by category it gets confused.

If you did not have third party items the Consist builder would not crash
You could just use RW Tools to create Consists

I can Always post the logmate here if that can help.

I'd rather use the consist editor, it's a mattero of habit.

You could report the problem to DTG via the usual channel
I don't know what you gain by posting the Logmate here?

Well by posting Logmate, maybe someone could then help me figure out what I need to delete and what the next step is to finally get the editor working.

Have you reported the problem to DTG?
They understand the Logmate better than any of us

I have earlier on yes but I Don't think they will be able to do much about it especially if the corrupt file or files is caused by third-party content which is possible. Ideally I would need some kind of tool that could directly indicate to me which file or files is causing the consist editor to crash. Now it's no longer crashing at 100%, it's crashing around 15%.
