Hello there everyone, I am wondering why the Long Island rail road has so few timetabled services for a player to drive.
They started out with a much busier timetable, but there were problems with the dispatcher, so Matt had to start over and didn't have enough time to put more services in.
Probably not. In the latest Q&A livestream they said there are no plans to make improvements or fixes to currently exsisting content. So chances are LIRR stays this way. The only thing I can imagine is that maybe in the future they will release the diesel trains with the double decker cars as a new addon, and those would add new services to the route. But I wouldn't count on it.
Well that's rubbish. I play mainly in timetable mode/service mode and not having many times ruins it for me on the LIRR
I know right, we won't even have the opportunity to use the scenario planner to create busy scenarios, a real shame.
Definitely not. There will be no more development of anything on the original TSW. That was made very clear in the Q&A stream. LIRR will stay exactly the same as it is now, no new timetable, no new add-ons, ever.
We don't know at the moment if LIRR will be included as preserved in TSW2 on release. Sam confirmed that all content will be preserved eventually, but not all of them at release. And just to reiterate they also said that existing content will not change or be fixed, ever. At least that's the current plan.
In the last update the timetable in LIRR was split up into 6, 8 and 10 car services. The switch livery option gives you access to other services. That said the route doesn't have the busy feeling it should have. I would love to see this route expanded.
