I have submitted a ticket to Dove Tail about 10 days ago and it still has not been assigned for resolution. I was wondering if anyone on here could assist with this problem? I purchased the new ECML route from London to Petersbourgh and have the code needed to install it into the game. When I enter this code into the dialogue box and click next it tells me "this steam account already owns the products associated with this activation code. Click next to proceed to installation". Well the dialogue box does not have next only finish. This takes me back to the main screen without installation taking place. I have tried to restart Steam as well as Windows neither of which help. Thank you for any assistance because I really want to run this route.
It sounds like the key has been either been activated or you have previously bought it if you are being told that you already own the products. Try opening the steam console and select Library at the top. Right click on Train Simulator which should in a list down the left hand side and select properties. That should open a window called Train Simulator - Properties. Select the DLC tab in that window and you will see a list of all your DLC's. You should be able to scroll through and see if the ECML is installed as the install box should be checked.
