Do you think we will ever get the level of content available on Train Sim World than can be enjoyed on Train Simulator?

I don’t like playing games on PC, but would like the same level of content on consoles. Eventually.

maybe, i mean if you seen the q&A for tsw 2, it's not really a brand new game. They're just updating things or offfering not revolutionary stuff. I mean they lied about the fact that the bakerloo line was the most underground line. In the fourms, the most requested were the Circle, Northern, And Victoria lines not to metion the fact that it won't have announcements is a bit of a dissappontiment. I do believe though they will have to start meeting expectations on tsw2 and live up to the promises they made so yes i think we can have similar content to ts2020 if dtg are committed

TSW is unlikely to ever get close the numbers of TS, as there are many third party creators putting stuff out for TS plus there’s the massive head start TS has had.

TS has had the "luxury" of keeping the same game engine for many years, if TSW keeps chopping and changing game engines, it will never be able to compete with the amount of content available for TS because it will get discarded every 2 or 3 years.

    Yes. But.....

But you will have to wait until 2030 before you get a stable platform. And then it will take ten or twenty years to populate that platform with content. It's a slow-burner. Hopefully I will still be alive to see it....

You don't have to wait, if you want to enjoy TSW, TSW2, TSW3, TSW6, etc. in bits and pieces over the next ten years, with unmerged routes, and trains that are restricted to parts of routes.

Building high quality routes in TSW really takes time. I am not being critical - it is just reality. It requires a lot of work.

Also, DTG is still learning how to use UE effectively. It could take another two or three years before we see UE5 implemented, and then another five years before DTG have learned how to use it with an economical workflow, and then another three years before we start to see an integrated simulation start to build up in the same way as TS1.
