Normally we'd post this thread for your questions after the trailer had been released - it's still doing laps of various approval processes at the moment. Since we want to give you ample time to ask your questions, this is the official thread in which to submit them. Topics for this Friday are: The Bakerloo Line Route selections - how do we choose what to make Route length We'll also be talking about NEC and passengers. Hold your questions on those two topics, as what we're planning to talk about will probably cover the majority of what you want to know.
I have the following questions with the Bakerloo Q & A: - How many tph between Queens Park and Elephant and Castle - How many tph between Stonebridge Park and Elephant and Castle. - How many tph between Harrow and Wealdstone and Elephant and Castle - Are the 2 Tracks just behind Elephant and castle used for stabling 2 trains.
Will there be AI mainline trains between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone? How many services will there be? Are the sounds recorded off of an actual 1972 stock?
Since you have the tfl license could we potentially see the London Overground Watford DC Line from Watford Junction to London Euston since it runs alongside the Bakerloo Line from Harrow And Wealdstone to Queens Park
(Originally posted by Bradley) Hello, I and other people are wondering is the section of the west coast main line that is modeled in TSW 2 Bakerloo line useable in scenario planner? The same question applies to the use of depots and yards for example willsden and Wembley euro terminal Regards Tony / Bradley
-1)Are you guys focusing on longer routes for DLC -2)Does the bakerloo line only use the 72 stock?-3)Routes that you can get licensing for are they the most easiest routes to make?
Hello, Sam and Matt Hope you are both well So my question is will the sections of the wcml between Queen’s Park and Harrow and Wealdstone be usable with the scenario planner in train sim world 2 or will it just be modelled and not usable
Is the route going to have a realistic timetable for example 6 tph (trains per hour) from Harrow & Wealdstone to Elephant & Castle 3 tph from Stonebridge Park to Elephant & Castle 11 tph from Queen's Park to Elephant & Castle This forms a 20tph service (or a train every 3 minutes) between Queen's Park and Elephant & Castle. Also depot services Would we be able to use the WCML section in the scenario planner?
With the original release date being 7 days away from me posting this why haven’t we seen a content planner yet? will the game be using HDR for PS4 pro DTG said no secrets this time but before release it feels some truths are not being told as earlier Q&A’s said we’d see game footage around this sort of time we still haven’t.Why the Red tape all the time?
Are the depots at Queens Park, Stonebridge and London Road fully accessible and is good use made out of these in scenarios etc?
Will you be telling us which ‘long’ routes you are working on or plan to work on as part of the planned road map?
Now that the engine has been upgraded. Is it faster to work with it?? will it allow to create longer route?
Will you be making all London Underground routes (eventually) and can these all be interconnected so we can drive one line, then another and another without leaving the map and see trains from other lines where this would be possible in real life?
We'll also be talking about NEC and passengers. Hold your questions on those two topics, as what we're planning to talk about will probably cover the majority of what you want to know. This intrigues me.
Will the motors sound be could for tsw 2 on the Bakerloo line and does the tunnel make a screeching loud sound like real
- Are you considering there will be longer between the dlc’s but the routes will be longer? - Will there be radiochatter in Sand Patch Grade for TSW2 like there is now for PC? - Do you plan to have next station announcements over the train speaker to make it more realistic? - Will there be more people on the stations during the busy times of the day? Cheers
> What do you mean exactly about Route length? It is about maximum possible length, and what is exactly the reason to this issue? I believe you noticed the community is claiming for longer routes. > Other related issue is you usually does not mention the length of the routes available. Why? > NEC and passengers... this will be about the availability of NEC on the Preserved Collection, and the quantity of passenger seen on the stations?
Inconsistent frame rates and stutter have always been a problem Since launch, has the upgraded unreal engine allowed for better smoother more consistent frame rates or are they still the same, please answer this, frame rate is an important issue for many players and a stuttering frame rate kills the immersion more than anything else (ps I have asked this before with no answer so I’m fearing the worst tbh)
This isn’t possible in real life. Tube drivers only drive the specific line for which they’re trained with the exception of the Circle and H&C lines being treated as one line and the Central line drivers from Leytonstone depot also driving the Waterloo and City line. Also Victoria, Northern, Jubilee and Central lines are automated, it wouldn’t work well on a simulator just opening and closing doors at each station with the train accelerating and braking for itself.
Route Selection Questions... What is the biggest factor from the following list in which routes get selected for consideration for TSW? Popularity e.g. number of requests for a particular route Variety of services for an interesting route Route length and potential end points Availability of the route for visits or abundance of available resource material And secondly, as a follow up, are routes made where nobody from the community has suggested them? So totally internal ideas from DTG staff.
Hate to burst your bubble mate the release date of TSW 2 is August 20th and not August 6th. They notified us of changing the release two weeks ago. Keep an eye on the news pieces on the website. Hentis
As for longer routes: do you have any plans to connect previously released routes or extend them in separate DLCs?
Hi Sam and Mat Sam just for you Grip it rip it nail it on the Bakerloo Line will we have the famous mind the gap voice at all stations I like to see more Tube lines on TSW2 like London Overground Waterloo & City Central Circle District Hammersmith & City Jubilee Metropolitan Northern Piccadilly Victoria TfL Rail DLR Tram Elizabeth line in the future on TSW 2 I Like to See in TSW York To Leeds via Harrogate with the 144, 153, 170 150, 155, 158, 800/1/801/1 Azuma Leeds to London Kings Cross and York to Kings Cross with the 800/1 801/1 Azuma and Class 91 I like to see more longer hual routes I also like to see in the Game the Eurostar from London st pancras international to gare du nord with the E320 only Stoping at lille I also like to see the gare de lyon to Barcelona sants on the High Speed Line with tgv duplex and Lyon to Barcelona Sants with Renfe AVE and the German High speed line From Köln Hbf to Hamburg Hbf High speed with the ICE 1 ICE 2 Ice 3 Ice 4 stopping at Düsseldorf Hbf, Duisburg Hbf, Essen Hbf and gare de l'est to frankfurt High Speed with Ice 4 oslo to bergen train VY From Oslo Central Station to Bergen Station Oslo S 2 0 493 Asker 104 24 469 Drammen 2 41 452 Hokksund 8 58 435 Vikersund 67 84 409 Hønefoss 96 112 381 Flå 155 174 319 Nesbyen 168 208 285 Gol 207 225 268 Ål 436 250 243 Geilo 794 275 218 Ustaoset 990 286 207 Haugastøl 988 297 196 Finse 1222 324 169 Hallingskeid 1110 345 148 Myrdal 867 358 135 Upsete 850 364 129 Mjølfjell 627 376 117 Voss 57 407 86 Dale 43 447 46 Arna 8 483 10 Bergen 2 493 0
Hopefully DTG can't replicate the stagnant summer heat that is always present in the London Underground ;-)
From my experience London Underground are very protective of their IP (it’s quite incredible that DTG managed to get them to license a route in the game) so the trailer is probably being held up somewhere by their quality control I reckon. DTG must be confident that it will be approved by tomorrow’s stream or otherwise the stream surely wouldn’t be going ahead.
Really? That’s interesting. In that case maybe they will delay the stream. No mention of that caveat in his post at the top of this thread though.
Yeah. I hope it’s not postponed, but I guess if they can’t get approval, there is nothing they can show.
Looking forward to learning more about the Bakerloo line and all the details. Question on Route length - What will be the maximum Kl/Mi length that TSW2 would be able to allow? I can't wait to see longer routes in TSW2 as it will allow for a lot of neat US routes, as well as UK and German routes.
Is there any chance of having the passenger information system working? Even with a bit of text saying welcome to platform #? It's not very realistic without text in the platform screen.
If longer routes will be released, will that mean that DLC prices for these will be raised? To be honest, standard prices for DLC routes are already pretty high up there
Will there be full keyboard support in TSW2 for console? There are some missing keys at the moment in TSW2020, especially the key for the brake. It would be also nice to have some keys to open the doors left or right directly without any menu.
We now have plenty of questions for the next session, thanks for submitting them. As with all other Q&A sessions, we won't get to every single question but I have tried to capture the spirit of what has been asked that will be important to the largest number of people.
The trailer is out now on the Dovetail Live site... with some great surprises. It looks absolutely fantastic. Getting excited now.
Hi Sam. My question is... Will TSW2 get an updated / upgraded PlayStation 5 version (or patch) - something that will bring the game inline with the PC version? I know the PS4 version should run fine on the PS5 - but I'm asking about a specific version or patch with enhancements. Also, can you just confirm that TSW2 will still offer the option to give up control of a service to the A.I. as it did in TSW1 (if you lay dormant for a couple of minutes). Many thanks!
The trailer is confusing.... Why are only some of the station boards working? Are we getting working boards or not
-Will there be an option to turn the HUD off on Console? -Can we do Back and Forth services with the Scenario Planner? (Go to Queens Park, then back in the other direction etc.) -Do the Passengers stay on the Train when we are heading to the Yard?
