Hello everybody, I would like to see the Eifel route in TSW 2. That's why I created this post. This would be the first German diesel route. This route is located in the Rhineland and, as the name suggests, leads into the Eifel from Cologne Messe / Deutz via Euskirchen to Trier. Description: On the Eifel route, only local rail passenger transport between Cologne Messe / Deutz and Trier central station is currently offered. After the last tender (for operation since the timetable change in December 2013), passenger transport is operated exclusively by DB Regio NRW within the vareo network. The offer was reorganized. The RE 22 (Eifel Express) runs hourly between Cologne and Trier. The RB 24 (Eifel-Bahn) runs between Cologne and Kall every hour, during rush hour to Gerolstein. Spoiler: Wikipedia https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahnstrecke_Hürth-Kalscheuren–Ehrang General Location: Germany Era: Modern-ish Length: 65km Travel Time: RB 24: 65min, RE 22: 55min, RE 12: 48min max speed: 160km/h passenger stations: 15 Service types: regional train, express train Electrified: Cologne to Hürth-Kalscheuren Stations: Köln Messe/ Deutz: Köln Hbf: Köln West: Köln Süd: Hürth-Kalscheuren: The Rest of the Stations is in the Comments (Post 13+14) Included Lines: RB24 Cologne Messe/ Deutz - Kall RE22 Cologne Messe/ Deutz - (Kall) Trier RE12 Cologne Messe/ Deutz - (Kall) Trier Possible Trains (Pictures in Comment 9): Br 620 (Cordia Lint 81) Br 644 (Talent) Br 612 Br 628 Br 218 with n-Wagen You can find the other pictures in the comments, also some pictures of the vehicles
Yes, exactly on this line you could use the Br 218. That would also be something new in TSW 2. Otherwise we only had modern Br 185 in different versions.
I come from near Mechernich and I would be very happy to see this route. On this route you can see the beautiful Eifel with castles and palaces and much more.
Excellent Route idea and if extended all the way to Köln Hbf then a link up with SKA is made. Speaking of the Diesel multiple units assigned to the route are they also used in the Aachen area or not? This will make the DTG theme of DLC locomotives and wagons usable on another route.
I have made a full suggestion of the full route between Cologne and Trier in the Eifelstrecke https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/eifelbahn-cologne-trier-suggestion.38019/
I don't know for sure, but sometimes trains have to divert trains from Cologne to Düren and then via the Bördebahn to Euskirchen and then on to Kall or Trier.
Here are some pictures how the trains look like that run on the route Picture 1 Br644 Bombardier Talent Br620 Alstom Br628 Br218+N-Wagen For a short time the Br612 was running on the route
But actually Cologne to Kall is an perfect route, because an continuing to Gerolstein and Trier could be get added in the future, but I use the route all the time and I always travel between Euskirchen and Köln or Kall to Köln
Brühl-Kierberg (Kaiserbahnhof): Erftstadt: Weilerswist: Weilerswist-Derkum: Euskirchen-Großbüllesheim: Euskirchen: Satzvey: Mechernich:
Yep Mechernich is getting now a new station, I would say that the new station should be included in the add on if this gets released because the old one was really ugly
Let's keep the suggestion up so that others can like this suggestion, so that it will get added very soon
I'm very curious about how the route will be when it's electrified. For example, what trains will the Deutsche Bahn use? Will the operators change? For example, will we get a "Privatbahn" or maybe also Fernverkehr?
