No more work Is being done to TSW2020. 3rd party devs need permission to make add-ons of which they wont get.

How you mention a Metro (Subway) without mentioning New York and Chicago?

I thought about New York.... but then thought - well there is NEC and LIRR out of Penn - I know they are not metros, but that's a city that has already been covered.... and my point was about including more variety ;-)

But you are right about Chicago as a possible.... although I mentioned LA....! ;-)

I’d prefer NYC as a New Yorker because our Subway System is very diverse. We have a whole Suggestion thread for the J, M, & Z Trains. I think it’d be nice to have in the game and would be VERY fun to operate.

Personally - I'd agree...... I'd be quite happy to see much more NYC stuff.... but hush... don't tell anyone... at least not in the same thread where I am asking for more international variety .....I ;-)

Sorry to disappoint but as pointed out in live stream a week ago once tsw2 out in August there will not be any content created for tsw as all content released will be solely for tsw2 and not tsw 2020

Well we have a thread for the J,M,Z trains in TSW. You can check it out & contribute with your ideas if you really want to see more NYC Stuff in the game.

Definitely the gilroy extension. The peninsula corridor is my top played route and I would love this.

I don't get why have the full line in ts2020 but not for tsw. I hope they're is a strategy to make longer routes or potentially extensions

The sad thing is that DTG will include the peninsula corridor as part of the preserved collection in TSW 2, unless DTG somehow ends up “remastering” the route by including it in TSW 2 with an extension, I don’t think we’ll get it, but, I would really want that to happen.:|

If they listened to the community, they've would've known that people want route extensions to current tsw routes so I don't know why they didn't do it if "Anything is Possible"

After the release of tsw2, the development and update of tsw2020 will simply be abandoned.
Why not make a workshop on steam where people themselves could offer their content for free?!

They have that in Train Simulator 2020 but not train Sim world. If they had route editors, then third party devs can extend routes since DTG doesn't want to extend current routes but make new routes riddled with bugs and short non full line ones because the developers are given so little time to make routes the full length as it is in real life

Yes, this must happen. I think it should be done for some of the older routes like GWR.

That extension, perhaps done over 2-3 DLC over 2-3 years would be awesome.

Honestly I'd be happy with the GWE route just being extended to Didcot, or perhaps Oxford like Train Simulator did. I love the GWE route, it's probably my favourite in the game but having it only go as far as Reading is insultingly short to me. Perhaps that's just because I'd played so much of the Paddington- Oxford route in Train Simulator in the past though.

What about if you could take the Bakerloo line - as passenger or driver - get out at Paddington tube station, and go upstairs to GWR Paddington central station, and get into the HST - also as a passenger or driver - to go to Reading? ;)

Sam mentioned on today's stream that cannot exit above ground from any of the underground stations.

I definitely think the GWE route has so much more potential and shouldn't just be abandoned by DTG . Would definitely like to see it go further than Reading. Possibly also see an rolling stock update to replace the Hst class 43.

I really don't get why they don't do route extensions. I would gladly pay for an LIRR extension to ronkonkoma, or the port Jefferson branch etc. You would think it would be much less effort on their part vs creating a whole new route and open up so many opportunities for new dlc.

They don’t do extensions because they are doing new routes and there isn’t time to do both. Imagine if they had done an extension for LIRR, an extension for GWE, and extension to NEC, an extension to NTP, and extensions to any other old routes that people wanted extending, those would be the only routes we would have, as there would have been no time to make new routes. The game would go stale, choice would be limited and everyone would lose out on the variety. There are many many more railways yet to be made before route extensions become a thing. There is no infinite monkey cage of devs in the DTG office.

Mate saying the game would go stale is your opinion. People would just wanna see extensions for several reasons. Heck I want a Extension. If dtg doesn't want people to ask for extensions then they should've made the full line of the route as it is in real life. If a route is 60 miles in real life like Line S8 in Rhein Rhur Osten From Hagen HBF to Monchengladbach HBF, then we should get the full 60 miles, not 17 miles from Hagen HBF to Wuppertal Stienbeck

An extension of the LIRR wouldn't be difficult for them because the distance from Hicksville to Ronkonkoma is 23.5 miles and they would just need to add 7 additional stations. The full Ronkonkoma Branch on the Long Island Railroad is 48.5 miles

I concur! An extension to Swindon, Oxford or Westbury as well as Heathrow would be great with an OLHE upgrade and Class 8XX 360 and HEX stock upgrade.

It would be cool to have Heathrow Express. I heard they tried to add that but couldn't do to licensing issues. What a shame

Extension of the Köln - Aachen to Bruxelles Midi (for the future release) would be good. About 80 miles. This would mean you would go over the boarder to Holland and Belgium which would be a first in the TSW routes

I also am in favour of a route extension on RRO to Köln from Wuppertal. About 25 miles.

It would be good to see the route East Coastway extended to East Croydon (and Selhurst Depot) with the Hayward’s Heath to Lewes Branch via Plumpton and Cooksbridge too. This would then allow you to be able to use Thameslinks and Gatwick Express services.
Roughly 35 miles. Using Siemens 700 units, and the Bombardier 387/2 units.
