I would like to see Doncaster to Peterborough via the East Coast Main Line and Lincoln as this comes through my home town. This could also be like what RRO and Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr is where the line diverges into two then joins up again. I would also like to see Lincoln to Newark Northgate as part of this route and possibly Sleaford to Grantham.

Cham Alpenblick, Zug Chollermüli, ZugSchutzengel, Zug, Baar Lindenpark, BaarNeufeld, Baar, Sihlbrugg, Horgen OberdorfBahnhof, Oberrieden
Dorf, Thalwil, Rüschlikon, Kilchberg, Wollishofen, Wiedikon, Gare centrale de Zurich (HB)

    Zurich HB (gare
    [IMG]

Amsterdam to Basel and then go on to say St Moritz would be nice. But let's date it mack say 80 years, using steam engines.

Birmingham New street - London Euston

The 2nd city is still yet to make a showing in the game by DTG and I think theyd do an awesome job.

This line is around 112miles in legnth so could be released in 2parts if need be.
Slow commuter services with class 350's.
High speed services with Avanti Westcoast class 390's.

Lots of freight used on this line too, and alternating services that stop at every other station to the one behind/infront with one per hour doing all station stops.

I would personally just like to see Birmingham get into the game as its such a major hub for the whole country including scotland/wales you can literally connect to anywhere from here.

I am a huge California railfan. There are quite a couple full routes I want to see. But 5 routes I would really want to see in their full forms are:
    1. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner San Luis Opispo-San Diego (or even San Luis Opispo-Los Angeles or Los Angeles-San Diego
    2. Metrolink Antelope Valley Line Los Angeles-Lancaster
    3. Peninsula Corridor Gilroy extension
    4. Amtrak Capital Corridor San Jose-Sacramento
    5. Cajon Pass
    Yes I know I love California trains. Don’t judge me ;-;

Hey, me too! I love California trains, and am a SoCal Rail fan myself.:) I would also love those routes, given that I’ve seen most of these trains myself, the rest from YouTube, I just really hope that with the TSW 2 update DTG can create longer routes so these trains can make their way in the game.

I love how you think! Can do some throw back trains, like fast trailer trains with GP60Ms, Bs, and Dash 8s up front. Can go WAY back and run the Super Chief, the El Cap, the Grand Canyon, and SF Chief!

Tehachapi! I'd love to see Tehachapi up here! From Mojave to Bakersfield!
I'd also love to see the California Central Valley rail lines. Capitol Corridor San Jose to Sacramento!

I gotta say I'd love to see the NS S Line, aka The Southern / Old Fort Loops, along with the Saluda Line implemented into the game. It wouldn't be the easiest of things to do given that both lines are closed, Saluda due to the oh so infamous 5% gradient, and the S Line only to through trains due to this schtewpid coronavirus lockdown.

These would definitely test your skill on those steep grades now with the new adhesion physics. Plus it would allow a well known line to continue to survive, at least in memory.

I would like to see the Danish route from Aalborg to Aarhus (100km). It’s reasonably busy, some local services around Aalborg to Skørping (30km from Aalborg), and some freight action too.

That and the line from Hamburg Hbf to Berlin including Maschen Yard with the Docks at Moorburg (Junction off from Hamburg-Harburg Station).

I would also like to see Brighton to East Croydon including Selhurst depot.

Hovedbanen, or "The Main Line", in Norway. Goes from Oslo to Eidsvoll and was opened in 1854. Route length is 67.86 kilometers and it is the first railway line in Norway.

I would LOVE to see San Francisco's Muni Metro (subway) system. With 71.5 miles of track occupied by a mixed total of 111 underground and surface stations/stops. It would be interesting to see the dynamic destination screens be used on this particular route. This would be an interesting route due to the fact that surface lines share the street with cars meaning the signal system would include street lights. Another nice addition to this route would be the historic street cars that run on the F and E lines. Each line has their fair share of points of interest around the city and so much more.

There was a 'slow film' on Norwegian television made of the entire route Bergen to Oslo from the cab. My partner and I watched it several times as the beauty is stunning, and the named tunnels were fascinating. There is a write-up of the film here. I would love to have that route, even if I had to save my position once in a while to actually drive it. ;-)

Either Malmbanan (Iron ore line from Kiruna, Sweden to Narvik, Norway) with Iore driving 8600-tonne iron ore trains and Rc6 running the night train/intercity trains :D, or Western Main line (Västra Stambanan) from Stockholm to Gothenburg with X2 high speed trains and maybe a freight variant of the Rc-locomotive (Rc2 or Rc4). Totally unrealistic but one can dream ;)

On a side note, I would really like the class 42 warship to be available on tsw2 one day, maybe as part of a dlc legends of great western 2, i d buy both of these on release for sure 180px-Bishops_Lydeard_832_by_the_water_tower.jpg .

You might as well include the connector Lohr to Rorbach Main Spessart Bahn because Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg in the evening gets freight trains with LZB.

The CSX Cumberland Subdivision from Cumberland, MD to Brunswick, MD... The route would feature Amtrak P42DCs on the Capital Limited, along with GE ET44AHs, GE ES44AHs, and GE ES40DCs, along with a fully operation Trip Optimizer and PTC system. The CSX units available on Sandpatch Grade would also be available to use with PTC systems added, and Trip Optimizer added to the AC44 and C40-8W

Well there's plenty of routes I'd like to see in full length, like my own suggestion I made recently, but those are still quite reasonable.
So I guess, if I threw out any sense or realistic expectations, I'm torn between Tokaido or San'yo Shinkansen full lines, though I'm leaning towards Tokaido.

Tokaido Shinkansen line goes for over 500km through 4 beautiful cities, considering the greater Tokyo metropolitan area as a single city here. You start at Osaka, and go through Kyoto and Nagoya to the greater Tokyo area.
I can only imagine the insane disk space required for such a route though :D

There's plenty options though, though for me personally they're mostly located in Japan and the Netherlands.

Not so worried about which routes but extension add-ons would be nice. There is a lot of variety coming with new routes but the existing ones have a limited run. So you are going up & down the same line. For example, you could extend the Great Western Express beyond Reading to various different destinations and even the spur to Heathrow. You would be running out of Paddington to a whole variety of different places.

In fact, long-distance travel is achievable, but the last two things are "experienced developers" and "sufficient budget funds".

I would choose London St Pancras to Paris Gare Du Nord/Brussels on the 373 TMST (E300) Eurostar, via the Channel Tunnel. Also, including the TGV Reseau, TGV Duplex, Thalys PBKA and PBA, EuroShuttle, Class 92 and Javelin on HS1.

DTG should set up an independent team to produce and develop, so that players' expectations can reach more than 120 miles.
