Sorry to be a dunce, but, I keep seeing this: ''For full details of which Add-Ons will be available at launch please consult our Roadmap.'' I must be going blind but I can't find the road map... I'm trying to see which add ons in the preserved collection will be available at launch and when all my others will be expected to arrive in TSW2. I thought the delay in the launch day was to be able to get the preserved collection ready.
The road map is meant to come out tomorrow. Some preserved collection routes will be available at launch, with the rest coming out in the next few months. The road map should contain this information of what's out when once it's released.
Thanks for the replies I was a little confused as the ''consult our road map'' makes it sound like it was already available!
Eagerly awaiting the release of the road map. It’s almost early afternoon UTC. God I need to get a life lol.
It's live! https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw2-roadmap-18-august
TGV line, London St. Pancras High Speed line, DB BR 101 Intercity services... Today its a great day!!! (the last one on my wish list its the P32AC-DM and/or P40DC on Amtrak Keystone or Empire Service)
That Cane creek route add on in planning..omg. LOVE IT! I have no idea what I’m looking at. It has me really excited though!
It’s great news to see so much planned for TSW2. I personally would’ve liked to see some longer routes, especially on the high speed routes. St Pancras - Faversham is 50 milesish, Marseille- Avignon is 60 milesish, by the time you get going, it’s time to slow down. It would’ve been nice to have a route from Paddington to Bristol on the electified line with updated stock.
It looks like DTG have a lot planned, and not just DTG, but it’s exciting to have 3rd party developers on the roadmap as well such as Rivet games, Skyhook. I would not be surprised if eventually we start getting route extensions. It looks like they are definitely trying to build up the variety of routes first which is a good way to do it!
The first step to steam engines is creating a playing experience that feels right. We've done several experiments in this regard - mainly in TS2020 - but that's as far as it's got so far. You want steam. We want steam. As soon as it's underway properly it'll be on the roadmap.
Thank you Sam. I am pleased that you are working towards producing a steam engine and I hope that it will be sooner than later!!!
You tempt me to ask when it will be on the roadmap In the mean while you might show off some of the experiments, so we can help you with some free ideas. I think it would be awesome.Maybe organise a competition for a setup for a HUD for steam engines? You know we can do it and it really may help to speed up a bit. But let's be patient for the next few months. I am really happy with the present developments.
