So in the streams Matt & Sam has said that if you have a keyboard you can turn off motion Blur. But some commands on Console don't work so how are they sure that it works
They have tried it and it worked maybe? They weren’t sure a while back if the keyboard would work as it has done in TSW2020 but the game is now finished and they know that it does.
So what type of keyboard will work with a xbox one and do you need any kind of adapter to plug it in?
Its has to either be a USB or wireless keyboard with a plugged in USB dongle. Found that out yesterday trying to test a Bluetooth keyboard lol (they don't work)
They said that somehow they couldn't put motion blur on off in the settings, so if you press CTRL+F2 motion blur is off/on. It only works once, so if you started a new scenario/service you need to press CTRL+F2 again!
We will be putting the option to disable it into settings at some point in the future. For now plugging in a normal USB computer keyboard and using ctrl+F2 will accomplish the result you're after. It's imperfect, but it works.
I have just two humble questions: - Has the graphical glitching of the wheels against the rails finally gone with TSW2? - Has the graphical glitch of sunlight streaming through the back of cab walls onto the control desk finally gone with TSW2?
If you disable motion blur the wheel blur is improved, however the issue lies with the Unreal Engine (it doesn't handle rotational blur as well as we need). We'll continue to look for improvements but there is none right now. Sunlight being where it shouldn't be has not yet been addressed.
A question about motion blur: does disabling it result in any kind of (visible) performance improvement? It's a post-process effect after all so in theory, disabling it could provide some additional boost to performance.
I havent seen any performance improvement from disabling it no, it's a pretty lightweight bit of processing. Matt.
Keyboard has worked for me to disable it on Xbox one X. Did not work on TSW 2020, but works on TSW 2. Also having the keyboard is handy to access more external camera options whilst in the new control mode.
