Whats the point of firing up tsw2020 if it deletes tsw2,until all tsw2020 content gets ported over at the very least tsw2020 still worth having and useing,it was stated that these are two separate games well if one can delete the other i'm not sure separate is a accurate term for them.Clearly no one at dtg tested this out before release or just decided along with all the other tsw2 issues it wasn't worth mentioning before hand.
Yes it was fixed yesterday with an update for TSW 2020. If you have 2020 currently showing rather than 2, and do the update, you will have to install TSW2 one last time, and possibly restart the xbox, then they will live side by side happily ever more! ;-)
Except you can't have your preserved routes in both games at the moment. SHINO BAZ seriously dude, why create a new thread? https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...not-open-tsw-2020-with-tsw-2-installed.25202/
it may be that DTG never knew i have never known something like this to happen but i do agree with bryer it was known about the problem and the update for it
Apparently they didn't update the add-ons too so those might appear deleted? I've not even bothered moving it back on my console until the issue is fully addressed.
It's only the preserved routes not showing up in TSW 2020, if you have them installed inside TSW 2. Apart from that issue everything works fine.
Look so many people post tsw various problems it hard to keep track of what gets fixed or if it ever will get fixed.Matt said they now have a separate team to fix problems so maybe me and the 100's of others who make threads about problems won't have to.
Keep problem-reporting threads coming until the problems are fixed, it helps. The uninstallation bug was fixed earlier this week.
After the tsw 2020 update the other day peninsular corridor dissapeared from tsw 2 but after re-installing it appears in both now without a problem
Hmm East Coastway seems to be installed in both 2 and 2020 on my setup. Well certainly shows as "installed" under manage games and addons. However when in 2020 you're right it doesn't show up in the list of routes. Most odd!!
Fixed hmmm not sure what dtg idea of fixed is,but it's not for me,i have to redownload for tsw2 and tsw2020 shared dlc each time i play either, the dlc that each shares disappear from the opposite game when i play and needs to be redownloaded each time,Let the fix it team know it still needs some work.
The two games do now work together. Thanks, that was a quick response to a big problem. What's not clear is if the dev team is aware that the preserved routes now become unplayable on TSW2020 once you download them & run them in TSW2?
Just checked and all I saw was an update for TSW 2020. The add-ons (routes and locos currently preserved are affected) did not receive updates, which may still be causing an issue with their TSW 2 preserved collection counterparts. Hopefully this gets fully fixed soon. Soon as I opened TSW 2020 and played East Coastway there, the add-ons got uninstalled in TSW 2. OK...reinstall them in TSW 2. Done. Now go back to TSW 2020... can't find the preserved routes back in the original game. They are apparently installed but don't show up...go to Microsoft Store in web browser and install again for TSW 2020. Now shows up fine. But guess what...the TSW 2 add-ons gets uninstalled again when you reopen TSW 2020. Issue is unresolved for me too. Update 1.2.273.0 only fixes the issue of the core game uninstalling - not the add-ons. All other add-ons not currently preserved are working thankfully.
Can confirm that since the latest update to TSW2, we now have the issue of each game deleting the other's DLC license.
