If I select “Spring Clear” from the weather presets, in the details about the service in the pause menu I would expect to see a date in spring. However, the date shown in the service details is always today’s date. As I already know today’s date I wonder why it would come up in the service details, when the service is ‘set’ in a different season. Surely an appropriate date should appear there, so I’m reporting it as a bug.
I particularly noticed this peculiarity today as I was battling my way through the yards through a fierce show storm with "today's" date showing as 4 September!!!! By the way, I also couldn't help noticing that in-cab sounds (such as windshield wipers, horn, bell, wind, etc) at times nearly became silent, but switching to an exterior view and then returning to cab interior brought them back to normal volume -- at least for a while.
LastTrainToClarksville, that bug is a little annoying. On some trains you have to reseat to get sounds back (throttle changes, switches, braking sounds). It normally glitches when I return from a camera view.
Interesting, since for me the sounds fade out while I'm in the cab (perhaps it's after I've blown the horn and switched off that obnoxious bell?] and comes back after I've switched to the 2 or 3 view and returned to the cab.
It would be a good feature the date to be the inline with the seasons, and you could change it and the weather changed too but its just today's date and does nothing to the weather, could this be added one day??
This is a daydream, but I know that some car games have done this. How about the game checks the real weather at the route location for the current date and then loads in with that weather.
