Due to this new policy of 'transparency', instead of playing, I check the forum every now and then, because maybe something is already known, and when is MSB going to be, and when this and when that. Why are you doing this to me! I just wrote that, sometimes also to praise DTG for something Possibly, DTG would introduce more drama, e.g. some spectacular delays (a lot of these new triangles, but inverted!). This is just my private suggestion!
Yeah, too little drama lately. Nostalgic of old days, like when DLCs were about to be released for totally broken routes and then the community rioted.
I think I know what you mean Well personally I came to the forums in order to participate in the Tsw2 Screenshot contests but I find myself roaming around it more often... But usually for news, I mainly wait for the roadmap updates (pressing f5 at work for hours ) and the streams, which are quite informative!
Ha, you mean like what is literally happening right now in the Train Simulator forum for the new WCML South route? Don't worry, the drama and classic DTG is still there lol.
It’s easy to get sucked into spending more time in the forum than playing the game. The roadmap being a thing has taken away a lot of the speculation and I foresee a route being on the roadmap so long and seeing its name there so often that you get bored of the route before it’s even released. There’s also so much information in the streams that cement understanding of how things work behind the scenes, that you can almost feel what’s coming and what’s not. Luckily there is still tension once a route gets to the top of the roadmap hence “Where’s my Isle of Wight?” is the current overriding thought in my head. I’ve known it’s coming for a long time now, since I sussed it from that first teaser shot Rivet released, my golden moment of deduction. The forum is a great place to be though. Lots of interesting discussion going on.
I am guilty of spending too much time on the forums. I just love to read. I love trains and I love reading... but the forum sometimes gets in the way of playing the game.
I was on rivet games forum today and everyday for the last many weeks and i'm sure when hell frezzes over we will get isle of wright, brrr is it getting cold in here.
I spend a lot of time at the forums, because people have lots of good information, which I use one way or another. I love it that there is less negativity now. The new policy seems to work more or less, even though critics on quality are still justified. This game is not just about the game, it is also finding out how it works in real life, watching youtube videos etcetera. I found wonderful information on London Underground.
Negativity has been an altered concept by many people anyway. Many of us just want to be realistic and tell the truth. Many others just deny the truth. Has been a hard truth in the latest... 10 years? Yes, indeed. Not by our fault, though. Nowadays from a commitment point of view, you cannot say anything to DTG. We will see if this commitment will stay and will be reflected by results.
