I would love a 1940s-50s era PRR NEC Route. We could get GG1s and E44s, as well as a diesel or two for switching.
I would like them to remaster the northeast corridor dlc for tsw 2. They should make Washington, D.C. to New York Penn section or from New York Penn to Boston.
Maybe they can bring back NEC in a different section of the route. Something that would bring a longer route and more high speed sections. Now I know very little about this line so I’m not the biggest help. But the old route had too many speed changes and very little high speed sections. The only good part of the route was New York Penn
BUMP! Def would be nice to have NEC back and MERGE the map with LIRR. In the mean time... DTG PLEASE bring back the trains from NEC into tsw2.
I would prefer to tracks from New York to Newhaven. Far more interesting. For NEC I liked the freight part, but not the passenger drives, these are boring and irritating because of the ACSES system and the long waits in New Your Penn.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but trains that run on the NEC do not run on the LIRR lines and vice versa, so other than completely fantasy scenarios, there would be no real world use of combining the LIRR and NEC
I agree, it would be great if DTG remasters the NEC and expands on the track distance. I would also like to see the LIRR and Amtrak routes merged. In one of the current LIRR scenarios where the M7 departs West Side Yard, there is an AI consist of Amfleets in Penn Station. Between Woodside and Forest Hills, there is a trestle bridge for Amtrak's Right of Way via CSX to Fresh Pond yard. It would be cool if the LIRR and NEC both were remastered to feature more stations for each of their lines.
Yes, but I meant along the lines of, you're not going to see an Acela flying down the LIRR to Hempstead nor a LIRR train heading to Newark Intl. so while the rails themselves may connect, the services don't share stretches of that rail, unlike the NEC and NJ for example.
Right, the LIRR Mainline trains and LIRR Port Washington Branch trains shares trackage with Amtrak's NEC between Penn Station and Harold Interlocking. After Harold Interlocking, both railroads split up.
Maybe in the days before the ACS-64 completely took over regional services. So maybe the AEM-7 and, hopefully, the Acela/Avelia liberty also get added
