The tehachapi loop in California would be an awesome rail and challenging go as far to San Bernardino California to Bakersfield California
I suggested an SP era version awile ago, San Bernardino would be too far for the route. Bakersfield to Mojave would be the most realistic distance for the route. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...pi-pass-pre-1971-bakersfield-to-mojave.26637/
I‘d love this. I fondly remember driving down 3DTS‘ version for MSTS. Could you perhaps tell me how long the route between Mojave and Bakersfield is? I remember it being rather long and lenght is always a problem when it comes to TSW.
So it‘s in the SPG ballpark. I feared it would be too long but in this case it does seem like a reasonable suggestion.
I feel the the areas of Caliente/Bellville and the Loop would give the route an advantage as you wouldn't need to do too much work with the scenery as you would a normal route that just runs straight from A-B
I agree. There are pretty long stretches of track which would require little to no work to make them look somewhat prototypical. Couple that with the reasonable lenght and you get a good suggestion. Not to mention that with its rich history, it would be a perfect addition to our US collection. I think I‘ll head over to your original thread and leave a comment there. May give it a bit more traction in DTG‘s eyes.
SP on Tehachapi would be amazing. I'd love a mix of SP and ATSF diesels, and maybe a few steam locos later on as DLC.
