I got TSW The founders edition when it first came out and then upgraded to digital deluxe edition and bought all the routes except 3 in TSW 2020, I have all the routes now including the preserved ones except Rapid Transit and the last batch of Preserved Routes. I think Microsoft are speaking a load of tosh and dont want to help how can they get the two confused when you have clearly explained it, I'll give Microsoft a good talking to and see what i get in response
Dovetail don't work weekends so you can discount Saturday and Sunday hopefully we may get an update tomorrow
We can hope or we wont get one until Sam comes back from holiday. I'm in the queue to talk to Microsoft via xbox.com so i shall let you all know how i get on
I think we need to be fair to people here. An update was given on Friday prior to close of business telling us that it wouldn’t be resolved until after the weekend. Once this update was posted I’ve played RT on TSW2020 (which I presume everybody else who’ve previously purchased it can) and messed about with MSB on TSW2. I even left the house earlier for a stroll and a quick grocery shop This is not an attack on anyone in here or a defence of the mess-up, just a wish for a more reasoned response by some people.
This is what they have said to me, Thank you for reaching out about this problem since that this is an issue, we'll be raising this to our specialists for investigation. I told them that there are loads of us who have been waiting for this to be fixed and this isnt the first time its happened They also said I totally understand, but don't worry we'll reach out to you once this is resolved.
Hey that's not fair i actually took the time to actually get in contact with Microsoft and thats still not good enough for you
The problem with the current preserved collection has been identified, but at the moment we are still waiting to hear back from Microsoft before you will see a fix. The issue comes from the store not recognising your past purchases that were bought through a bundle. Thank you to everyone who has been patient over the weekend.
Hope you've had a stress free weekend, you certainly have been chucked in the deepend. Is it safe to say that once GWE is preserved, we are likely going to have the same issue again?
Any issues or problems that have happened this time are unlikely to be repeated, however that's no guarantee that new problems won't arise.
We had expected that after phase 2 was released, we would have issues again, so do forgive me for having very little confidence, that this wont happen again
I am now able to install Rapid Transit in TSW2. I originally bought the deluxe upgrade. I think some change has gone through because it wasn't letting me do it on the weekend. All owned now.
IMPORTANT For all the people who own Rapid Transit through Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade (GWE, RT, NEC of Summer 2018) Preserved Rapid Transit is in Download on my Xbox, right now. Now this "version/bundle" is correctly recognized by Microsoft Store.
Now maybe the crazies will stop flinging sour grapes around and we can all be grownups and enjoy our trains
Agree. I hope GWE in its various editions (delisted and current) will be available with no issues when it's ready.
Whilst I accept the delay in being able to play the preserved routes this time round would be frustrating, the problem has only affected people for a few days. It’s not ideal, but you haven’t been denied access to the latest blockbuster release that all your friends are playing and not you. It’s not really a reason to be angry.
i think dtg need to take their time maybe in the next release of preserved collection making sure that when it will go to the store it will work and any bugs that are there maybe not release it on a Thursday so if there is a problem it can be fixed quicker than having a weekend hold everything up
This seems not to have been a DTG problem, but a Microsoft store problem where Microsoft's setup didn't recognise the previous bundle license as containing this new release
agree maybe should included making sure microsoft rather than dtg but still there is many new added problems added from the preserved collection which weren't problems. i understand coding is a very complicated thing and is not simple to copy and paste but i would rather wait a bit longer for a preserved route to work and be have only a few bugs ect than loads.
Update for those of you who don't own Collectors Edition discs, we are looking to find a long term fix so that your entitlement is recognised in the future and won't require going to customer support. For now please can you contact customer support and submit a ticket to redeem a code for RT, I will be updating the disc owners information in the forum.

The next time there is a problem if there is one, avoid overcrowding the thread with uninteresting discussions so that people looking for help can find their way around (more than 200 messages by the same people ). Agreed, I already suggested that they aim for a Monday release, giving them the rest of the week to iron out any unforeseen issues, rather than just 48 hours.
That is correct I have updated the forums to include the new information. I had a look into what could be done for the non collectors edition entitlement for now. There may still be a delay on receiving your code but customer support will let you know if there is.
