I was thinking that we need some LNER non-corridor coaches for LNER branch lines. And what best than the Gresley non-corridor coaches!

For instance, Weardale & Teesdale has lots of branch lines, and those lines would be great for running these coaches on.

Here's what the coaches look like:

Matrix (TS Marketplace) has done the indispensable post-war Thompson non-corridors, and Digital Traction have some Gresley twin-sets. A quad-art 3rd set in LNER livery was released with their N2, with a composite set and BR liveries to follow. Still missing are some of the more numerous ‘ordinary’ Gresley non-corridors, like the diagram 50 Lav Compo, diagram 57 Third and diagram 65 Brake Third, but Matrix has announced they plan to do a set of Gresley non corridors (including twin-sets) that will hopefully one day appear on TS Marketplace. Also, very soon Matrix (TS Marketplace) will release a number of pre-grouping ex-NE and ex-GN non-corridors that could still be seen in the Northeast in the fifties (some of the Gresley ex-GN non-corridors ended up on the NE-region), so it will now be possible to recreate typical NE branch line trains
